Elijah woke me up by caressing my bare shoulder. I really don't want to move but the position I'm currently in is uncomfortable. I move my body so my arm is free and I'm on my back, feeling so much better than I did a second ago.
"Good morning, love." Elijah moves the few strands of hair that are on my face before he leans down and kisses me.
"Morning to you too."
"How are you feeling?"
Like I just had the best night of my life. "I've never said those three words to a man before. Not counting my papa."
"I've never said those three words to a woman before, not counting my mama or Natalie." I move over so I'm resting on top of Elijah. "What's on your agenda today?" He asks, massaging my scalp.
"Odette and I are going to go see our parents for the day." We haven't seen them in a while and the last time I talked with them was yesterday. I obviously couldn't tell them about the thing that happened with Odette because how the hell was I going to explain everything. "I need to shower." I say, rolling off of him and off the bed.
I pick up my robe and put it on before walking to the closet to pick out a change of clothes. I would have taken one last night but I hate sleeping when my hair is damp.
