I am sitting in my desk, slouching lower and lower, on the edge of a boredom-driven stupor, listening to Mr. Lewell explain some exam to us. It'll happen in three month's time, so whatever it is, I'll be plenty prepared.
While he drones, I should take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Siola van Dyke. I'm your average seventeen year old girl- long brown hair, hazel eyes, 5'6". I lived in Detagowaukee, a combination of the former hub cites of Detroit, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Before you get confused, let me explain.
After a huge error was made in the 2020 World Census, missing hundreds of millions of people, the United Nations had strategised, looking for a solution. In a ditch effort, they had come up with what many considered a hastily thrown together plan. They decided to mash huge cities and their surrounding counties together in an effort to keep track of the growing population. This had sort of become the UN's pet project for the last 12 years: All the government newspapers constantly reminded us of the UN's "great contribution to humanity."
"Ms. van Dyke?" I hear Mr. Lewell call me. "Would you like to answer my question?"
Shoot. I had been daydreaming again. I flipped through my Calculus book. Time to find the answer.
