You put food on your cat and started making coffee for yourself and your husband, who was about to wake up. All that could be heard was the noise of the coffee maker and the cat eating. You took out two glasses and left them on the counter. You heard footsteps coming from the corridor to the stairs and saw your biological child sleepy rubbing his eyes, followed by his orange cat, Hikaru.

- "Good morning, Dad." he greeted you, followed by a loud mew of Hikaru as a greeting.

- "Good morning, Shinsou, Hikaru." you greeted with a smile. Your son sat in his typical place at the table with the cat on his lap. "What do you want for breakfast? I can make pancakes and eggs."

-"Um ... Maybe both." you just nodded in response to your son and opened the fridge to get the ingredients.
