Part-1 Business 📈

ROSÉ POV

" I love you. " I told Jimin.

My eyes on him. His eyes widen slightly but I covers it with a hard face.

" You don't. " He looked away with a clenched jaw.

" Can you see? I love you. " I hold his collar and shake him as much as he allows, tears forming in my eyes from his stubbornness.

" You just want to take over the joint business Rosé, you don't love me. " He said looking in my eyes.

" Wh-What? " My voice falter. That's what he thinks of me? That I betray him?

" But I love you. " I almost plead, my eyebrows furrowed as his eyes remain hard.

" Well. " He hold my hand that were still holding his collar.

" I don't. " I grits out and I feel the pain in my heart. I feel it breaking in the moment.

I cannot control the tears anymore. Why do I have to be so weak? He doesn't love me. I try to move my hands away from his hold but it just tighten making me look up at his smug expression. And at that moment, I decided it.

With another jerk, I free my hands and wipe my tears away even though they keep falling.

" Okay. " I nod.

" It's about our dad's joint business right? " I asked but didn't wait for answer.

" Keep it. Keep all of it. " I said and watch as he frowns before turning back to rush to my car.

" Let me know when you want me to sign the papers. " I choked out from a few steps away.

JIMIN POV

I let her go. She told me she loved me and I pushed her away. I hurt her before she hurt me. But was she going to she left the company to me?

Today's the handover day.

Her dad and mine are here too. They both don't mind this decision at all since they are best friends.

Then why did money matter to me? Or was it the position? Why couldn't I just be with her?

The door of the meeting room and she enters. She's wearing a grey suit today with a black shirt. Her heels clicked as she takes the seat next to her father infront of us.

" You sure about this sweetheart? " Her father asked her. She looks at him and smiles, nodding. Her smile doesn't reach her eyes and the fact that I notice this makes me uncomfortable.

" Okay then, we're doing this. " Her dad turns to us gesturing to me to hand over the papers. I did.

He placed them infront of her and I see her hand forming into fist.

What am I doing? I'm letting her give me a company we all worked for. She worked just as hard as me to bring it to the top. Why couldn't I just trust her?

But before I could say anything she had already signed the papers and was getting up to leave.

" I'll be home in some time. " She kisses her dad's head and turns to leave without even looking at me.

" So it's decided, when both of us are tired of our hold here, you'll be the only owner. " My dad told me and I just sit there, blinking. My chest heavy with this sinking feeling.

I lost her, didn't I?

ROSÉ POV

I was getting into the elevator what's the building to go up to my cabin when someone else stepped in.

It was him, Jimin. It had been a week since I signed the papers and i needed the time off to cool myself. He didn't cover the look of surprise on his face. I would have laughed if he hadn't broken my heart the way he did.

He steps in and the door closed behind him. The whole ride up to our floor was silent and I am grateful. Just as I step out towards my office, I hear him.

" Rosé. " He trailed and I turn to look at him. Willing myself to not break down for how my name rolled off his tongue.

" Yeah. " I rasp out.

" You are continuing here? "He questions, his tone nervous.

He thought I would leave?

" I love this company Jimin. And we all worked on it to bring it where it is today. " I said frowning.

" I know, I meant... " He couldn't find the right words and I ended this torture for him.

" That just because I handed over the profit to you, I would no longer want to work here? " I scoff at the his thinking. He really thinks that low of me.

" I worked here because I love to, it was never about the money. "I told him emotionlessly and turn but stop.

" I'm still allowed my position right? Or do you want that too? " I asked with a hard voice as I turn in time to see are lose of hurt crossing his features.

" It's yours. " He said and before he could say anything else, I was walking away.

JIMIN POV

Since morning I have not been able to focus on a single project. Everything is blurred. And it's all because I messed up the one good thing that was happening.

I decide to take a break and go for coffee since clearly I'm not functioning properly today.

As soon as I step out of my office into the crystal clear lounge area of this floor, I heard the clicking of heels on the floor.

I reached the elevator to see her waiting for it. She turns around and nods as she notice me standing behind her, I nod back.

" Lunch. " She question and and I am relieved the inside that at least she is still talks to me.

" No, just coffee. " I shrug, knowing she can see me in the reflection of the elevators doors.

She nod and we step inside, me pressing the lobby button.

" You. " I ask, wanting this conversation to go on.

" Snack time. " She explains and I smile.

" Donuts? "I asked with a quirked lips and she looks at me, her face showing surprise. She clearly didn't expect me to guess it right.

" Yeah." She nods, hesitantly.

" We go to the same coffee shop around the same time. "I explain.

" I know. " She said looking back in front.

" I just didn't know that you noticed it too. " She said in a lower tone, her voice colder. Like she suddenly remembered what I did to her.

And with that she steps out, leaving me with this unsettling feeling I never felt before.

Did I lose her before I even got her?
