Part-2 Business 📈

JIMIN POV

I order my coffee first and her donut too. Before she can protest, the barista calls for the next costumer and we move aside.

" You didn't have to do that. " She said in a low voice.

" I know, I wanted to. " I told her.

She didn't said anything after that and we take our order, heading back outside.

" Why? "

She turns as soon as I close the door behind me.

" What? " I asked, genuinely confused.

" Why are you doing this? Being nice? You're the one who didn't want anything to do with me, so what is
this? " She asked in one breath, making me tense.

Why was I doing this?

The answer was clear. I was doing this because I was an a**hole who just couldn't trust her even though she gave me no reason not to.

I was doing this because in my own sick way, I fell for her.

" I- "

" Rosé. " Another voice cuts me off and we turn to see a guy existing the same coffee shop, wearing the apron, indicating that he works here.

" Hey! Alex! " He voice sounds happier as she pulls him in for a hug.

" I saw someone else made your order, I just got off break. " Alex explain.

" That's fine. I'm sure you've trained them well. " Rosé dismissed it with a wave of her hand.

The smile never leaving her face. She is not faking it. Her eyes are shinning and it's not because of me .

" Oh, this is Jimin. Jimin, this is Alex he owns the coffee shop. "

Rosé introduce us and I shake his hand with a tight lipped smile. My jaw clenched hard.

ROSÉ POV

After meeting with Alex, we head back to the office building.

All the while Jimin was tense and even though he was trying so hard to look normal. His sharp step and a way too hard hold on the cup.

As we step in the elevator, my phone rings. I mutter a little ' sorry ' and pick it up, seeing it's my assistant.

" Yes. " I said as soon as I picked it up.

" Your 3 o'clock meeting was cancelled and since you have your schedule free the rest of the day, I managed a meeting with the animal rescue organisation. " They told me.

" Okay, I'll be in a minute. " I said, not being able to hide my happiness at this point.

" Remind me to give you a raise later. "

" Just get me my donut and that'll
work. " They chuckled and I look down and realized that I didn't order today so I only have one donut.

" Shit. " I cursed into the phone.

" I only have one right now. I'll call Alex and ask him to send a box in a minute. " I said.

" No- " And before they could protest, I had already cut the call and dialing Chaeyeol.

" Hey, Alex! " I said as soon as he picks up.

" Yes, ma'am. " He greet and I chuckled.

" A six piece box of your best donuts please. Put it on my table. " I said.

" No problem, it will be delivered in five minute. " He said.

I thank him and cut the call.

Just as I put my phone in pocket, we reached our floor and Jimin step out scoffing, making my brows furrow in confusion.

I don't want it to affect me but I still love him and his sudden cold act hurts even if I don't want it to.

JIMIN POV

Who the fuck is Alex? How long has she known him? Why didn't I know they were close? More over, why the fuck did it hurt when she looked happy after he came?

A knock on my cabin door takes me out if my thoughts as I tell the person to come in.

" Hello baby. " My mom walks in and take the seat in front of me.

I relaxed under her presence.

" I told you that you don't need to knock anywhere, this place is yours too. " I smile at her.

" Shut up. " She wave her hand and dismissed my words.

" So ? " I asked as I close the file in front of me which I wasn't concentrating on to begin with.

" I just came to check in on Rosé. I still don't like this whole company transfer thing. " She shrug.

" And? " I asked, wanting to know how she is. I can't help it.

My mom raise a brow at me with a disappointed look.

" She worked just as much as you on this name and she still does, even though she doesn't show it, she's still hurt. " My mom said without any expression and even though her tone makes me wince in hurt, I needed it.

I nod at her, not knowing what to say.

" Don't just nod. I know something happened which made her do this and I don't like it, so fix it before I do. " She warn me in her motherly tone and I smile.

" I'll fix it. " I told her and she smile.

I messed up but I think I know why watching her with Chaeyeol hurt.

I need her.

AT EVENING

It was late when I left the office after finally getting today's work done.

All I could think about was what I wanted to do for Rosé. Even if doing that meant losing her, she deserved the happiness I couldn't give her.

I checked to see if she was still here but she wasn't and neither was her assistant which was weird. She usually stays till whatever time I'm here.

I stepped out of the building and went to the cafe we go to, hoping to find the person I'm looking for. I being a 24 hour cafe helps a lot.

Once I step in, I saw him working at the cashier and step in line behind the person ordering.

Once it's my turn, I don't let him speak first.

" Can we please talk, it's important. " I try to sound as good as possible. I don't want him to hate me.

We step out of the cafe after he nodded and told his barista to take over.

" What can I do? " He ask, his tone serious and different than before.

" Do you love Rosé? " I got straight into it.

His eyes widen for a second before he compose himself.

" Love? Uh, yeah? " He said, confused.

" If you do, you should be with her. She deserves someone good- " I was cut off by his loud laughing.

" You think she likes me? " He manages to split out, still laughing.

" She doesn't? " I frown.

" No. " He shake his head, coming back to normal.

" But she's happy around you. " I gave reason.

" Okay. Firstly, I'm married. " He raised his hand to show me the ring that I just noticed.

" Secondly, she's is like my baby sister and she loves you. " He pat my shoulder.

" I messed up, I lost her. " I shrug.

" No you didn't. She had an awful day today and I'm going to tell you why and then you're gonna fix it. " He told me and I listen to it all.
