For the few minutes of looking each other in the eye, Detective Wailers barged in and greeted Helena and I. Before Helena left, I held her hand. She looked at me and smiled. I waved at her as she walked out of the room.
"Now tell me, what was that?" questioned Detective Wailers. I looked at him. "U-uhh... Nothing! Nothing's going on. Really, there is nothing going on between us in any way sexually or not, we are just acquaintances trying to get to know each other better," I said. "Shit!" I scolded myself. I said too much. He's probably going to think that I have feelings for her. He laughed as he said, "Woah, there. That's too much words that you blurted out so fast. Take a chill pill, man. Relax. I don't think that you both have something for each other. Besides, you have your wife, Regina, am I right?"
I sighed as I said, "I don't know man... She hasn't been messaging me as frequently as before nor is she giving me a call as usual. She rarely replies now and it seems as if shes busy taking care of the two boys. I hope that she will start messaging and calling me again." Detective Wailers looked at me. He pat my shoulder as he reassured me. I smiled at him and asked him to continue with what he was supposed to be doing here right now.
