Everything kind of made sense now. I was glad she told me, and was honest with me. But in a way I hoped she didn't, I missed my life before all the drama. But drama in my family was inevitable.
I walked down the sidewalks of Charleston, my destination being the wreck. I wasn't too sure why I was going there, I didn't even have any friends to go there with. I thought maybe Mike would be able to whip me up my all time favourite carbonara to make me feel better.
I entered the restaurant, the sound of the bell ringing as I stepped forward, the faint music playing in the background and people's chatters filling the atmosphere.
"EW, JJ STOP IT!" my best friend screams, causing my heart to drop, as I turn my head and see all of my friends at our table. Without me.
Sarah was pushing jj off her, sitting on the edge of her seat as he waved a spider in her face while everybody laughed at their innocence. The view of them being happy, laughing and smiling without me made any hope I was holding onto disappear. I decided to let it go, deal with my emotions in the way I always do, by keeping it to myself.
I spinned around and went to push the door open, before her harsh voice shouts my name.
"What the hell are you doing here?" she shouts, resulting in me stopping in my tracks and turning to look at my group of friends, sarah midway through standing up and approaching me, a not so approachable look on her face, though."doesn't matter, I'm going now anyway" I tell her before once more lifting my arm up to push the exit door, eager to escape from this embarrassment.
"Good. No one wants you here" the girl laughs, my feelings hurt at the nasty tone behind her words."Sarah, come on. Leave it now" John B exclaims before jumping out of his seat and standing next to Sarah, his hand gripping around her arm and gently tugging her away from me. His honey eyes looked disappointed, but when he looked at me I could tell he felt sorry. None of us wanted this, but it seemed to me Sarah was the one who did.
I watched as they both walked away from me, my eyes flickering to Kie and Pope who both looked to the table, the table which had each of our signatures scraped on it. Including mine.
My two friends refused to look at me, unsure whether it was anger or sadness which stopped them.
Then there was jj, who's glimmering eyes were looking right at me, a hint of sorrow behind them. I gently nodded at him, a small smile on my face directed to him before I left the wreck, my prosperity leaving too.

"blair?" my sweet sisters voice whispers as my bedroom door creaks, her small body squeezing through the small gap she made. She shut the door behind her, careful to not make a loud noise as my attention turned back to the cries from my mother, the yells from my father. This was now a daily occurrence, and the fact Tash was in my room made me realise I wasn't the only one struggling.
"you ok? come here" I say to my sister, opening my bed cover and patting my mattress, before she quickly walks up to my bed and crawls under the duvet, eventually laying beside me, small sniffles coming from her and little tears streaming down her baby face.
I run my fingers through her thin brown hair while listening to her small breaths become deeper, meaning she was about to fall asleep. I tuck the blankets round her small body before quietly tip toeing out of my king sized bed and leaving my bedroom, the arguing from the kitchen becoming clearer as I get closer.
"It's been 15 years! It's taken you 15 fucking years to tell me?!" my father shouts, his deep tone sending vibrations through the walls. I creeped down the stairs and stopped midway to sit myself down on one of the wooden steps and wrap my dressing gown around me, listening to the back to back screams.
I'd never witnessed them argue like this before, so the cussing and violent comments hurt me to hear, frightening me to think of what this meant.
"I can't do this anymore. I'm done." my mum yells, alongside the smashing sound from the glass I assumed had just been thrown. Her footsteps became louder as my heart stopped at the sight of her swinging the front door open, and throwing a black bag round her shoulder that looked as if it was already packed.
"mum?" I say, standing up from the stair I was slumped on and watching her as she turns to look at me, her drooping face looking sorry to know I'd heard their conversation.
"go back to bed, I'll see you tomorrow Bee. We'll go out for dinner and celebrate your 18th, ok sweetheart?" she fake smiles at me, before vanishing from my sight, the front door shutting before the engine to her car revs.
She reminded me, my 18th birthday tomorrow. Something id completely forgotten about, and honestly something I simply did not care about.
Everything was falling apart.
