The front door opened and closed, Dream standing up from his chair to walk out of his room. He walked slowly to the living room where Sienna was taking off her coat.

She sighed and cracked her neck. Dream hummed making her turn to face him. "Rough day?" he asked. For the past days, the two have been waiting on each other, stepping on egg shells when it comes to each other.

And as much as they wanted to talk about it, they didn't know how to. That night, the words being passed to each other stop them every time.

Yes they do joke and talk casually when Sapnap and Drista were around but would become silent when it was just the two of them. It was suffocating but despite how much they try, the memory how they ended was just enough for them to stop and try.

And with that, they knew, as long as they don't talk about it, they won't get past that suffocating feeling they both have. That unsaid thing was gonna eat them alive but they just don't know how to go on about it.

Sienna sighed as she sat on the chair and leaned on the kitchen island with her laptop in front of her. The numerous amounts of paper she was in due to translate.

She was in desperate for a break but she knew she had to finish it so she could easily finish the job. She knew how the office works, she was just, getting used to it again.

Dream slowly walked in and pursed his lips. He knew that look, the frustrated look in her face. He knew how to deal with it, he was just hesitant. Scared to see the uneasiness in her face, but he knew he had to try. Because no matter how suffocating it could be, he still had to try.

"Sienna." He whispered. She sighed and rubbed her face. "Yeah?" she asked flipping through the papers. He walked to her and glanced down the scattered papers. "Need some help?" he asked.

She looked up at him and sighed, "I got this. You need some sleep." She said. He shook his head and pulled the chair beside her and sat down.

"Dream-" "Come on. The faster we finish, the faster we can get to bed." He said with a smile. Sienna hummed and nodded as she handed Dream her laptop and a page of the news from Italy.

Without anything said to him he knew what to do, pulling up the app that he had created himself with the help of her knowledge in languages he started to type the phrases in and fixed the English. While he was doing this Sienna silently translated a piece of the news manually.

Silence engulfing them. A familiar air around them, a sense of normality. This was something they had been doing for years and despite the time apart they had finished it in record time.

Sienna and Dream found themselves in front of his computer, him letting her finish a build in his server. Luckily enough no one was on which was rare.

Dream had Patches on his lap as he watched Sienna fix Kinoko kingdom something George had been asking her to do for a long time. There wasn't any talking involved like usual but it was evident enough that they didn't want to separate ways for the night yet.

So despite Sienna hating building by the swamps she endured it, because even if she didn't admit it to anyone or even to herself, she loved the small moments she had with Dream. Something that she cherished despite that suffocating feeling looming over them.

Dream then sighed, making Sienna to look at him. He was looking down at Patches with a sigh, "She still not eating?" she asked as she spun the chair just right so she was facing the both of them.

He nodded and looked back up at her, "I think its time for her to visit the vet." He said. As if understanding him, Patches meowed harshly making Sienna chuckle.

She petted her head and tilted her head at the cat, "Better make an appointment just to be safe." She said looking back at him. He hummed and nodded, "I hope she's gonna be okay." She whispered. Dream chuckled, "I like to think she will. She's a strong one." He said.

Sienna smiled and nodded, "She is a tough cookie." She praised her. Dream smiled, "Just like her mom." He whispered. Sienna looked back at him, "And she's as stubborn as her dad, not wanting to go to the doctors." She teased.

Dream laughed and shook his head, "You know I don't like needles." He reasoned. "Yes yes, whatever you say." She mumbled giving Patches the attention she wanted from her.

He watched her as she did so, like she was the only thing left that was good in the world. Which essentially was the truth.
