Y/N pov: It was that time of year. MAMA award show. The time where famous kpop groups make their mark in the industry. When everyone pulls out all the stops to be crowned as the best performance of the evening. And we were about to do just that.....
All the performers and nominees of today were backstage getting ready to make their entrance. I was all set and ready to go then I saw one of my best friends, Hwasa. We first met at a JYPE audition,we were both alone and extremely nervous so we decided to stick together. At the end of the audition we were both rejected but we didn't mind because we left as best friends. And that was just the beginning of our journey. Hwasa was casted under RBW entertainment 4 weeks before I go casted under YG entertainment. Through thick and thin we were attached at the hip, went through training stress together, provided each other moral support over the phone then finally debuted around the same time. Post debut we still met up very often but I haven't seen her since we started preparing for our latest comeback.We gave each other a hug squealing in excitement. "Omg y/n you look amazing, I feel like it's been forever since we caught up, so how's you?"she asks "You already know the drill it's been exciting but exhausting all at once. But I do have news. Remember how me and Sehun (exo)were kind of on again off again?" I asked "Yeah" she said "well we're officially off completely" I sighed "no way you guys looked great together. If he did anything to hurt you I swear-" she was cut off by a backstage manager screaming "Hwasa you are on for opening act in about 30 seconds!! Get down here" he exclaimed. "Well that's my cue, we are NOT finished this conversation" Hwasa was a very protective friend and was always there for me anytime especially during boy trouble. I wished her good luck and watched her performance on the monitor backstage.
Soo Jin our leader came and sat beside me on the couch backstage. "We were all called to come take our seats in the vip section for idols, let's go" she told me. She rounded up the rest of the group and we all went into the auditorium. As soon as our fans spotted us they started screaming. "God I love them☺️" I thought as we took our seats , jayda telling them to quiet down in respect of who's talking on stage. I looked around and "aww shit of course" I cursed under my breath. "What's wrong" Marina, who was sitting beside me asked. I subtly gestured "three o'clock" I whispered. Marina carefully darted her eyes in that direction, in hopes of preventing a dating rumour. It was none other than Exo siting right across from us. "Like seriously who made this seating plan" you thought.
