"Tum na hue...mere toh kya..

Mein tumhara...mein tumhaara...tumhaara raha..

Mere chanda...mein tumhaara...sitaara rahaa"

I was in my balcony, working on a project, having my 5th cup of coffee when I heard a beautiful voice and the soothing sound of an instrument.

Where was it coming from?

I got up from ym bean bag and looked down. Nothing.

Next to my balcony, is another one.

There was a guy sitting, his back facing me.

There was a small lamp next to him. Was he singing?

I can see a guitar in his hand. It must be him.

"Rishta raha...bas reth kaa...

Ae samandhar..mein tumhaara kinaara raha...

Mein tumhara...mein tumhaara...tumhaara raha.."

He stopped all of a sudden and put his guitar down.

"Why did you stop?"

I realized I said that aloud almost immediately, when he turned to face me.

Oh my god!

I had to hold the railing for support. My knees suddenly gave upon me.

"Excuse me?" I heard him say.

"I am sorry for bothering you. Uhm...it was actually beautiful. Never mind. Get back to whatever you were doing. Sorry again" I said, giving a guilty smile.

"That's okay. Thanks for the compliment though" he said, giving me a sweet genuine smile back.

"You're new?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I moved in today"

"Oh good"

"Rohan," he said.

"Indu"

"Pleasure meeting you Indu"

I just smiled.

"What are you upto at this hour?" he asked.

"Work from home has its own disadvantages" I said.

"I see"

"Alright, goodnight" I said waving at him.

I didn't want the awkward silence.

"Goodnight" he said, waving back.

Rohan

I was working on a new song I had to write for a movie.

With all the house shifting scenes, I didn't find time to concentrate and finish the song.

This new house I moved into, I must say it's beautiful. The balcony especially. It is not your typical namesake balcony. It's fairly huge. I settled down with the Chinese take away I got and started working on the song.

I was just a few lines in when I heard a voice.

"Why did you stop?"

It sounded like she whined, she was sad I stopped singing. That was cute.

We had a small conversation.

She was one beautiful woman.

The cutest thing I noticed about her were her braces.

It's been a while since I have seen someone in braces. That made her smile even more beautiful.

She said she was working on some office project.

Seemed like she didn't want to extend the conversation.

I didn't push either.

Don't want to make a clingy first impression!

The next day, I was dusting the living room, when I heard the doorbell ring.

I was expecting my friends to come over to help me unpack everything. It must be them.

I opened the door to find Akash, Venky and Anu.

"Hello guys, welcome! Welcome to my new home" I let them in.

They settled on the small quilt that I spread on the floor to sleep last night.

We talked for some time and got into the major stuff of unpacking.

It took us about 4 hours and it was time for lunch.

"Pizza or desi?" I asked as I wanted to order.

I was checking for restaurants when I heard the doorbell ring again.

I opened the door to find Indu standing at my doorstep with a box in her hand.

"Hey"

"Hey, I am not bothering you right?" she asked doubtfully.

"I guess that's your favorite question" I taunted her.

"I thought..I mean I thought you didn't have things set up so got you some lunch" she said passing me the box.

"That's...that's so thoughtful" I said, taking it from her.

"Yaar kaun hain?" I heard Akash's voice.

"Oh you have guests at home?" she asked.

"No..just a few friends helping me unpack. You want to come in?" I asked her.

"Uhmm..another time. I have a meeting in 5 minutes, so thought i'll drop by before that"

"Thankyou Indu"

"Don't mention it. I am not sure if it is so much for more than a person. I didn't know you had guests at home"

"That's okay. I was just going to order something, we'll share" I said.

"Sounds good. See you later then"

"Yeah sure" I said.

I closed the door after she went inside her house.

"Tupperware mein deliver kaunsa restaurant karta hain?" Venky asked.

"That's my neighbour. She got me food" I said, showing them the box.

"Oh it's a she who shares food. Interesting Ro" Anu was smirking.

"Shut up, we talked for sometime last night. She's sweet"

"Toh use andar kyun nahi bulaya, we could have met her too" Venky said.

"She has some meeting in five minutes"

They stayed for a few more hours and left in the evening.

Indu got me biryani in the box.

It was delicious. We fought like dogs for it, although we ordered pizza.

I thought I should do something to thank her for the kind gesture.

I spent some time on the balcony that night but didn't get a chance to meet her.

I wasn't sure if she was busy so didn't bother knocking at her door as well.
