Today was a pretty good day, I had just finished and published my new book to the public. My wife has also finished the recipe for her favorite dish. She ran out of supply's though so that's on our shopping list.
V- "Hey honey how many things do we need from the store?"
M- "Not that much, at least 5 ingredients."
V- "Alright, I will get the car started, it's pretty cold out today."
It was foggy too.
I have never seen it this foggy before in my entire life.
We drove to the store.
But it only proceeded to get foggier by the time we were there.
M- "Okay, what isle is the milk in again?"
V- "The isle behind this one"
M- "Found it. Now all we need is-"
We were cut off by a small power outage in the store and a bang on the window
V- "I will go help them with the outage, you grab the last Ingredient and then we can head home."
I used to work at a store where power outages were a daily occurrence.
That's why I wanted to help them.
And people in this town weren't the brightest, I can tell by the flyers and the misused information in this town.
I went into the back of the store with the five other employees
"Damn, what happened to the power box?" Said one of the employees
I took a look at it.
Nobody seemed to notice but something that looked like blood was dripping of the bottom.
How did nobody notice that.
It was also beat up with some indents
Surprisingly all they had to do was kick it again to turn it back on.
Then we heard screaming coming from outside the store.
We all ran to the front
There was a man outside the store
"Help! Help please! Open the doors! Now!"
They opened the doors in confusion
Mallory was scared I could tell.
"There is monsters out there, you need to lock the doors. Now." he said.
Me/V: "What's wrong? What happened?
"They are getting closer, I first saw them out by the other store near 1st street"
Employee 1: "Everybody grab something heavy and bring it over, lock all the doors until we figure out what's happening"
Everybody listened
What's was going on
How long would we be here
It's surprising how a normal shopping trip turned into this
Whatever 'this' was anyway..
