A/N: Each chapter will be a brief glimpse into how I envision KDice to have happened in real life, and as such, they will be short and sweet.

After hearing his co-stars' praises for Alice Kaushik, his new co-star, he felt slightly relived. Pallavi's reassurance of her being a sweet girl soothed most of his fears, but Shiny telling him how sweet Alice was sealed the deal. He knew Shiny for quite some time, crossing paths with her multiple times, joking with her on sets, filming crazy reels. She was the closest friend he had... and if she believed Alice was nice... he did too!

Calm down KD... she can't be that bad... she's just a girl!

He glanced at the script in his hands, re-reading the first scene they would film together. It was filled with drama and nautanki, and he believed proper introductions should be made before he tried pushing bike exhaust into her face... it just wasn't what a gentleman did!

He knocked on the door to her makeup room, gently and slowly, as he tried to read over some of her lines for the scene they would film shortly, and for the upcoming scenes in the future.

"Hello."

When he heard the soft whisper, he glanced up with his usual smile. In Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, her makeup was bold and loud. However, in Pandya Store, she wasn't playing the role of a gray/negative character... he saw her pictures on Instagram so he knew how she appeared when she wasn't on the show.

But even so, he was still surprised to see her light brown eyes... They looked so much prettier in real life, and with the soft, light makeup and gentle curls, she fit the character of Raavi quite splendidly. No doubt she would shine on screen... but he hoped he could match her screen presence.

He held his hand out, cracking the largest smile he could, "My name is KD!"

Her brown eyes lingered on his face, causing him to feel slightly warm and flushed, before slowly dropping lower. She took a deep breath and nodded her head, "Name's Alice."

"Oh I know!" he had a small bounce to his step. Everything was going well so far! "I thought we should discuss our scene together," he even held up his script.

Her eyes landed on the script before turning back to him, "A-actually..." her eyes dropped to her hands and he noticed for the first time that she was holding a book. She had the book turned to the side, so he had a clear view of the title.

Alice in Wonderland.

"I don't want to be rude... but can we talk again sometime later?" she gazed at him with absolute disinterest... and for the first time, he was slightly terrified of her.

He'd never been scared of anyone or anything in the past... but Alice's strong stance and strong voice shook his bones. Plus, she held something he hated most. Books. Suddenly, the fears he had last night came full force... she and him were truly poles apart. He was a carefree spirit... and she was the book girl.

"That's alright Alice—," he paused when she slammed her door in his face. He blinked for a second... completely astonished as to what had just happened between them. Did she just close the door... in my face?! He crossed his arms in anger... she truly was everything he feared for most...

Rude... uninterested... and book smart... Essentially someone who was leagues away from him!
