Alice's eyes fell on her co-star... Kanwar Dhillon was his name, wasn't it? She smiled as she recalled the few memories she had of him.
He was an absolute ball of pure energy... shining as brilliantly as the sun. In a way, she couldn't keep up with everything he had to offer. He would run around sets with the other co-stars, turn every single moment into a joke (which was really helpful when things became awkward), and came up with silly word plays...
She definitely couldn't keep up with him... he was just too exhausting. But, she also couldn't help but want to be a part of his inner circle. His chaotic nature was probably just what she needed to transition into the new set... plus, he exhausted her enough that she was getting more sleep!
But, instead of becoming good friends on set, he seemed to be strangely avoiding her... At first, she thought it was because he was busy. Perhaps he has another scene to film? Or wanted to speak with the director? Were her first thoughts. But when she saw him filming reels and joking about trivial things with the other co-actors, she was just hurt.
He really is avoiding me isn't he?
Instead of sitting around and moping (she'd rather read or sleep!), she did what she was known for... she started to stalk... no, err... follow him around the set until he was comfortable enough to become her "friend."
Sure, she was a little lazy... and maybe a little absentminded, but she knew for sure that she was a great friend!
So, for the next forty or so hours, she inserted herself (with her dignity intact), into every, single conversation he had... even if she had no interest in the conversation herself....
Kanwar and Mohit speaking about the latest cricket game? Sure, she didn't know a whole lot, but she was very knowledgeable in the fact that Virat Kohli, someone super important, was married to the Anushka Sharma. So that alone made her a cricket expert.
Kanwar and Kinshuk speaking about their journey as actors and the lessons learned? Sure, she didn't have the years of expertise they did, but at least she could talk about which lighting made her look puffy and which colors made her look ridiculous (screen presence is very important!).
Kanwar and Shrasti speaking about the next reel they could do? To be honest, she wasn't interested in those reel choices. They were too bold and loud, and she had no interest in being extra like them. But... that gave her the perfect opportunity to be the camera woman!
Kanwar and Shiny speaking about the food that Kanwar brought to the sets? Boy, were these her absolute favorite conversations to interrupt! Even if Kanwar did not speak to her, it didn't matter. She was able to eat good food!
Kanwar and Akshay being absolute bros and joking about nothing at all? ... Okay, this was certainly the most painful of conversations she tried inserting herself into. She knew nothing of the "dirty" jokes they told each other... and if she was honestly speaking, she didn't want to know either! And to think they were being "tame" because she was there... made her head hurt!
But even after all that strategic following, he continued to avoid her.
Alright Mr. Kanwar Dhillon, I gave you enough of my time! I even put off reading the rest of my book just to become friends with you. And since you aren't my friend yet, and I am no where close to being done with my book, don't be surprised by my actions!
"Kanwar!" she mentioned with her sickeningly sweet voice. She watched as he stiffened in his seat. The script that was on his lap fell to the ground, and Alice quickly bent down to grab it before he could. When she stood up, she crossed her arms and smirked.
