Fawn's pov

I entered the house, hand gripping onto my bag strap. Wendee flew out from my jacket pocket once the door was closed. She looked around before flying over the fruit basket and picking up a grape to nibble on. I walked over to the kitchen counter, picking up another grape and popping it in my mouth. I picked another one, tossing it into the air. The door slamming open made me turn, the grape hitting my cheek and rolling across the floor. I stared at the lone grape. Amelie stormed over to the kitchen table and dropped herself on a chair at the dinning table. Shade spun out from his hiding spot in the pocket of her skirt. I approached, reaching out a hand to her shoulder. She caught my wrist before I did so, not looking back to face me.
"Oh I'm so exhausted. You know how tiring to keep a look out for anyone feeling some glimpse of a negative emotion" she leaned her head backward, finally meeting my eyes. I blink.
"Where were you anyway? You were supposed to be helping me" she sat up, turning to face me. I signed my answer. She huffed out a sigh before turning to Wendee.
"We were making a new friend" she chirped up, a smile on her face before she shoved the last of her grape into her mouth. Amelie looked at me.
"You abandoned me for a 'friend'?" she gave me a hurt expression. I shook my head.
"Then what?" a tear built up in the corner of her eye. I lowered my head.
"You aren't going to abandon me are you?" she wiped her eye with one hand, having let go of my wrist. I shook my head and signed my response.
"We'd never abandon you. You're our friend" Wendee translated, floating over to me and landing on my shoulder. Amelie turned away from me, shoulders shaking. I approached, reaching for her hand again. Shade flew in the way.
"The lady needs her space" he scowled, crossing his little arms and titling his nose upward. I looked at Wendee. Her ears tilted downwards, whiskers twitching. I signed my response.
"I'm sorry. I just thought that.... maybe I can convince some people to join us if I make them my friends" She turned her head to look at me, scrubbing her eyes with one arm.
"Really?" I nod while Wendee snuggles into the collar of my jacket. I sat down in another chair at the dinning table. Amelie stretched.
"Well I'm still exhausted. You willing to cook or should we order something?" she asks while dropping herself in the chair she'd been in before. I didn't really feel like cooking tonight. It bit into my time a lot and I hadn't had any time to work on new pieces today between hanging out with Marc, working on the project and classes. Amelie took my silence as an answer.
"Cool. I'll order. You got any money?" she had her phone in her hand, typing away at it already. I looked down at my knees. I had been wanting to buy some new pencils with how my current ones were wearing down. I looked up at Amelia. I guess I could hold off on the pencils until after our next mission. I pull out my wallet from my rucksack and hand over my card to her. She takes it from my hand with a smile.
"Thanks sweets. I'll be sure to get your favourite" she pet my head, standing from the seat and wandered over to the couch. The tv was switched on and that's all I heard from her. I looked at Wendee. She looked between Amelie and Shade -who had flown over to join his holder- and me. I rubbed her head with one finger, picking my bag up and heading to my room. Dropping the bag at my desk, I sat in the swivel chair. I pulled out my phone to check it. I had two new messages. One from Moth who was just reminding me to remain vigilant for any potential akumas which was just one of the 5 recycled messages I received from him. The other was from Marc. I felt a smile on my face when I opened the new chat.

Hey

I started typing a response.

What's up?

The little bubble with three dots appeared for a few minutes.

Not much. I just wanted to ask a question

Shoot

Well, I know you do stuff in your sketchbook so I was wondering if you wanted to come to art club tomorrow

I stared at the words for a moment.

Art club?

Yeah. It would be great if I could introduce you to my friends

I thought about it.

Sure. What room?

We can just go from class together

Sure. Why not

I curled my legs up to my chest, hugging them tightly. I felt giddy. Someone wanted to hang out with me. And introduce me to their friends. Maybe one of them will be pretty. Not that Marc isn't pretty. He's got such a cute face but that would be weird right? I just met him. But that doesn't mean I can't find him pretty. I can find someone pretty without being attracted to them. That's allowed. Wendee shifted from my shoulder to the little bed I had for her, curling up to fall asleep. I smile at her, leaving her to sleep.
