Third POV

Jane sat in front of the couch, on the floor watching her favorite movie Dusk. She then heard something out in the driveway of her house. She got up and started to tell her older brother Ethan, but decided against it. She didn't want to bother him when he was having fun with his best friend. So, she went out the front door and walked out. Outside, Jane saw a tall boy, probably around Ethan's age with red hair, pale skin and freckles. He was hitting hockey pucks at their garage door.

"Hey!" She called. The guy looked up. "What do you want?" He asked in a snarky manner. "What are you doing in our driveway?" She asked. "What does it look like? Get lost kid." He said and kept doing what he was doing. The little girl marched up to the guy. "If you don't leave I'll, I'll." She stammered. "You'll what? Tell your brother? I've seen him, he might be older than me, but he's not bigger." He said. The kid spotted the stuffed bunny in Jane's hand, snatched it and threw it on the ground. "Here, fetch." He said and turned to hit it, but was met with Ethan. Both Jane and the kid jumped. Jane didn't even see him there. "What's going on?" He asked. "Jane? Are you ok?" The little blonde nodded.

"Good. Get your bunny and go in the house." Jane quickly picked up her bunny and ran inside. Ethan made sure she wasn't looking through the window before turning back to the taller and beefier boy. He was smiling in arrogance. "You know, you can do whatever you want to me. I don't really care, but when you come to my home and disrupt my peace. When you drag my family into this, is when I have a problem." Ethan said. "Ha, what're you gonna do? Hurt me?" Ethan chuckled. The kid blinked in shock and confusion. Ethan's voice became echoed and staticky. Like an old radio. "Oh no." He said. Ethan's appearance changed too.

His skin turned grey, his treaty became goldish yellow and as sharp as daggers. His hair turned red and black, with large ear like protrusions and two black deer antlers. His eyes turned hollow and his pupils became two glowing red beacons. Ethan suddenly leaned his head over and the younger, yet taller teen heard a sickening crack. This new Ethan gave the boy a smile so wide it reached his forehead.

"If I wanted to hurt you, I would've done so already!"

He said with a horribly distorted and demonic voice. The world around him glitched out like a tv with bad signal and weird, demonic red symbols started floating around him. Suddenly everything stopped and Ethan was back to normal, smiling like nothing had happened. The kid was horrified to the point that he peed himself. Suddenly just as soon as it happened, it all ended. Ethan was back to normal and the world looked like nothing happened.

"Why don't you get outta here, eh?" Ethan said. The other kid didn't need to be told twice. He ran as fast as his legs could carry his chubby body. Ethan watched him run with an evil smile before going back into the house himself. He spotted Jane on the couch watching Dusk again. "Hey, why didn't you tell me someone was outside?" He asked. "I didn't want to bother you." She whispered. "You don't need to worry about bothering me." He said then walked back into the kitchen with Benny.

"A babysitter? Seriously?" Benny asked the next day. "Yup. They're convinced that since Jane doesn't like bothering me, she'll be ok with talking to others." Ethan said. "You know, that confuses me. She'll con me outta forty bucks, but she treats you like some god. Why? Isn't she supposed to be taking your cash?" Benny asked. "Meh." Ethan shrugged. "Well, at least one of these premo babes will be at your house tonight." Benny said looking at a passing girl. She gave him a look too. One of disgust. "So, what's her name?" Ethan racked his brain for the name.

"Erica? I think." He replied with a shrug. "Well, guess we'll have to find out." Benny said. They turned to leave, but stopped when they saw the principal talking to the head of the drama club. "What, what just happened?" Benny asked. "I don't know. Whatever it is, I hate it and it needs to stop." Ethan said and the two actually left for class.

Ethan and Benny stood in her line for lunch and Benny was trying to use Alien Detection Goggles on the students when Ethan snatched them away from the taller boy. The two got their lunches and was about to walk away when a girl bumped into him, making his tray tip and spill over her shirt.

"What the heck! Nerd!" She exclaimed and stormed away. "You bumped into me." Ethan muttered and shook his head. He walked to a table and sat down with Benny. "Woah, check it." Benny said. Ethan looked over and saw the girl that had bumped into him sitting with Erica Jones, also known as Grade A Dusker Girl. "Think she's gonna be the babysitter?" Benny asked. "Hm, only one way to find out." Ethan said, grabbed Benny's apple and stood. The taller boy gave his friend an offended look for the fruit theft, but followed him to the table anyway.

"Excuse me." Ethan said as he reached the two. The girls looked up. The girl that bumped into him gave him a glare. "Here to apologize?" She snarked. "No. You bumped into me, I was just standing there." Ethan said. "Well why were you standing in the middle of the cafeteria?" The girl doubled down. "Cause I had just turned around and was about to walk over to a table when ms big bosom came and rammed into me." Ethan said. Sarah glared at him harder, but Erica giggled. "Hi, I'm Ethan." He said to the blonde. "I'm Erica." She smiled and batted her eyelashes. "Uhh, no. No flirting with the jerk." The other girl said. "Sarah, did you actually bump into him and now you're trying to blame him to make yourself feel better?" Erica asked like she was talking to a child. Sarah glared, but Erica didn't budge.

"I'm sorry." She sighed. "Thank you. I'm sorry for talking about your breast." Ethan said with genuine smile. "Anyway, I wanted to know if you were going to be babysitting for the Morgan's tonight?" Erica looked shocked. "I will. Do you know them?" She asked. "Heh, I'm one of them." He said sitting down. "Really, well it's nice to meet you." She said. "Same." Ethan said, a grin working its way on his face. "Is that a gold tooth?" Sarah asked. "Yea, I wasn't the most popular kid growing up. I was bullied a lot and at one point I got a tooth knocked out. The only teeth the dentist had were gold so my parents bought that one." He explained. "Ohh. I'm sorry to hear that." Erica said. Ethan waved it off like it was nothing.

"Worry not deer. I've never let things like that bother
me." Ethan smiled, no one noticing his eyes glowing a dull pink.
