*~~*~~*

Brain overheating with all the claims Techno garnered regarding my roommate, I storm to our dorm early, waving off and straight up ignoring my peers and co-players half-finished offers to join them – riled up, and possessing an ironclad intention to have a showdown with Tharn. Opening the russet door it is clear the stunning drummer isn't there yet. Checking the watch, I know it won't be a long wait since Tharn's classes end early on Tuesdays and has no band practice or gigs (today) unless he agrees to help out his seniors. Again.

Wait...when the hell did I memorize Tharn's weekly schedule?

I shake off that stray thought, pacing around to focus on the important issue here. No painted an awfully suspicious picture, which aided by my own observations of Tharn refused to be unseen once it sunk in, like one is unable to rid of a rather gory scene in a horror movie from haunting the memory afterwards. Apparently, my initial synopsis isn't far off: Tharn is extremely well-liked and can have his pick of admirers, except he always chooses men over the girls fighting for his attentions. Or so Techno's reports say.

It is hard to process the entire information – a job made nearly impossible when required to associate it with my roommate, a decent guy I've only ever known to be kind and friendly towards me. Particularly after coercing No to part with all the tidbits he learned, even the ones he deemed inconsequential for my ears.

For once, I'd showered at school, leaving plenty of time to drive myself crazy without mundane tasks distracting me. The minutes hand on my wrist-watch hardly moved since entering the room. Going for the bed and parking my ass nonetheless, I intentionally face away from the entrance while I brood around for the pale mixed-race student to make an appearance. Meanwhile, No's babble resumes on a loop as I squirm trying to clear the tornado resembling my mind. It is a losing battle. The details my nosy friend collected began to neatly arrange themselves in an order, as if nudging, nope, daring my conscience to find a loophole to dismiss them as irrelevant.

'You're roommate is gay.'

'Tharn er, publicly dated a Phi...a male student last year. A lot of people confirmed this, Type. I just wanted to let you know...'

Rage and bitterness coursed even thinking of Techno's prattle about how several guys are eager to dish out the details regarding Tharn.

Rocking on my heels, I press hands tightly over ears as though that would shield the echoes of my conversation with Techno from reverberating through my mind causing a splitting headache.

"Ai'No..." I'd pretended to reach out and twist his shirt again when Techno falters, obviously having second thoughts. "You better spill everything you learnt about Tharn or else..."

I glare, deliberately trailing off and letting the shorter guy's overactive imagination come up with the rest. No would do a better job of freaking himself out than any stuff I can come up with anyway. Besides, threats worked best when you leave some ambiguity regarding the terrible things you're capable of inflicting on others when truly pissed.

"Aow, aow!" Techno yells shrinking back, hands held protectively over his head before I could so much as touch him.

"Okay, okay. I'll tell you. Shia, Type. You're so violent! I don't understand why you insist on hearing all these superfluous details... I mean, you already got the general idea. Hmm, I only told you because of how weird you get around this topic and I didn't want you to get blindsided and do something stupid when you finally find out. 'Sides, I couldn't keep such an important thing to myself for long. Urgh, you know I'm not an investigative reporter or anything, right? Like pfft, I should've been.. with the amount of digging I did to get to the bottom of this matter, haha. But, er it really shouldn't um, change anything though, right?. I mean, Tharn is still a great roommate from what you said so... Well, um.. who are we even to judge what and who a person does in their private time, right Na? Live and let live, am I right! Unless it is illegal, of course. Oh, then its super bad dude. You wouldn't believe the stuff I saw in this video once––"
