Still At DV's hideout
DV's pov
I watched through the monitors as my pupil brought his own girlfriend through the maze to my door. Now this is exhilarating because now I have her and him. One is genius in robotics. I just need him for my plan I never got to complete with my....friend. If only he'd listen to me. We'd be changing this place by now into something better.
"DV! I captured her!" Hiro shouted as he brought Karmi in, carrying her in bridal style. I saw Karmi's face look extremely red. 'Ugh' I thought. 'Gross.' I ordered him to place her back in the new prison I created. Hiro gently placed her in the prison as she glared at me. "Now, now. Let's not be too feisty k?" I said as I cracked up favorite grin in the darkest way. "Feisty? I'll show you feisty!" She said as she got up straight and ran towards me only to be pushed back by an invisible wall, or as I like to say, a door only accessible...to me. "Hiro dear, would you mind teaching our guest something called patience?" I ordered, cracking up my favorite grin wider.
Karmi's pov
Hiro slowly strolled to my direction then. I panicked in the inside, thinking about what is going to happen with me now. Hiro bended his knees down while looking at me with his evil-like grin again. He gently grasped my hands and brought them towards my back as he tied something on them. He then wrapped his hands around my waist with his head laid on my shoulder as if trying to hug me from the back. I struggled to get out of his grasp since of his sudden upper-body strength, but it suddenly started to feel relaxing. I slowly calmed down but blushed all of a sudden when he placed a light peck on my cheek. Maybe this isn't so bad. I saw the guy rolling his eyes and returned back to his ridiculous yet creepy grin. "Anyway....my name is Dark Volt, but call me DV. It feels amazing to see two young geniuses in my presence." I rolled my eyes now, knowing behind his stupid grin that he's lying. "Oh. I think I forgot something." He said as he got closer to Hiro and took something out of his head. Hiro then stopped cuddling me and fell down beside me. "Hiro! What did you do to him!?" I shouted as I scooted over to see Hiro on the ground unconscious.
"Relax. He'll be fine. I'm sure of that."
Slowly, Hiro fluttered his eyes to face me. "K-Karmi?" He said as I fluttered my eyes with tears rolling down my cheeks. "You're okay!" I cried as I tried to untie the rope on my hands and hugged him tight. "W-Where am I?" He asked. "Your here with me, my dear pupil. Your teacher forevermore." We both glanced up at him. Although Hiro was rather glaring at him. "You....You are the guy. The one that helped escape the prisoners." He said, causing a puzzled expression across my face. "Accurately said. Well done!" He said clapping his hands with his savage-like smile.
Hiro's pov
I growled in my mouth. I raised my arm in front of Karmi. He's not going to use Karmi for anything. Not on my watch. "Someone's toughened themselves. Must like her too much for your own good?" He said, making me more vexed by the minute.
"How about we have a talk you and I?"
"Why so?"
"Because we're more similar than you think..."
"What makes you say that?"
" 'Cause I know what your heart and your brain truly desire more....not love...but interest. Or else your little friend gets it." He said holding a phone in his hand, signaling a beep-type sound on my neck. I looked back at Karmi, who was urging me not to go. I sighed. I do care for her more than I do for myself. "Lets go." I said, leaving Karmi behind as I entered a narrow hallway with the guy.
Minutes Later
Hiro's pov still
I noticed him staring at the ceiling angrily for some reason which kind of concerned me. "What are you thinking about that's causing you to explode right now?" I asked, chuckling a bit in the inside of what I just said. He glared at me then. "Hiro...let me tell you a story that happened before Boss Awesome showed up." He said, making me feel impassive yet intrigued.
"When I was young, I had an older brother named Akio. He's always full of bright ideas when it came to inventing innovative things. Teleportation portal gateways, gloves that can create ice, and....an energy amplifier." I widened my eyes. Really? "And you know what? He succeeded in creating these inventions. Even a tool that can move anything in slow motion. He was as clever as innovative he was. Although his idea of creating an energy amplifier changed him, thinking if he can do that, then why not change the world? Like creating something celestial. Something like..... a star... Because of that idea, it changed him and changed me. I was intrigued by the idea of creating a star but that would create nothing but chaos in the world. I warned him but he didn't listen. He went on and on planning for this with his partner, Lenore Shimamoto. He even stole multiple items for the project that were necessary to build with but he didn't care. He only thought of one thing. Creation. I tried to stop him, telling him that we could create something better. Something harmless. Though he didn't listen. Instead he became the 'villain'. Calling himself Dark Volt. When the police found out about this, he hurt the chief of the police, making sure he didn't ruin anything for them. And in the end, he almost did succeed. Until Boss Awesome came in to stop him from achieving his greatness. Lenore Shimamoto felt miserable after causing what people called the Great Catastrophe and hid the plans so no one can find them, until a boy came along to make the dream come true yet failed in the end by you. As for my big brother, instead of stopping Boss Awesome back, he died, thinking it was pointless to create something so stupid after listening to Lenore. He should have listened to me before, but died, never apologizing to me nor thanking me." He explained, directing me towards a glass coffin with a body inside.
It was a man with a black cloak and gloves covering him. His face looked angry yet a droplet of water remained on his cheek. His hands were wrinkled as so was his head. His hair was all over. looking a lot like his younger brother. I looked back to him with a shocked expression. "Is that?-"
"Yes. My older brother Akio who created the first successful energy amplifier. I, Jiro, was just by his side, never getting the chance to save him. To tell him that there was still another chance to do something amazing other than that. But I guess he was too stubborn for himself. But now you're here to help create a new energy amplifier. A new one to create a star so bright, so strong, that nothing will be able to stop it."
"No. I won't help you do that. I just can't.... Why would you want to create something that will hurt people just to avenge your brother for helping him live at peace?" I asked, thinking about how crazy or mad this guy was. "Because I know you would do the same thing with your older brother. And if you won't help then say goodbye to your girlfriend forever." He said with his eyes full of anger. My eyes widened again. Karmi....I can't let anything happen to her...
He lead me out where I saw Karmi with her back against the wall, looking worried and agitated. I ran to her to make sure she's okay, but instead she hugs me tight with her arms wrapped around my neck. I hugged her back, wrapping my arms around her waist. When we pulled apart, I saw her tearing up. I wiped her eyes and her tears, notifying her that everything was going to be okay. She grinned but immediately frowned when glancing up at Jiro. I glanced as well but sighed. "Fine. I'll help you. Just don't hurt my friends and my aunt." I looked back at Karmi, forming a small smile upon my face. "Especially my closest friends."
