Chapter Ten

Jasmine lands in the water, finding the magical liquid instantly transforming her into her mermaid form. She whirls around under the water, flicking her glowing purple and blue tail to steady herself. What the hell was that? She gasps as she hears two loud splashes on either side of her.

Jeong Yunho.

Kang Yeosang.

She swims and snatches Yeosang first, gathering him up under his arms. She swims up and breaks the surface, spotting a piece of the ship at once and hauls Yeosang's limp body over to it.

Then she dives back under the water and fetches Yunho.

Because of the distance and how hard they hit the water, they must have been knocked unconscious. Boy, they'd get a rude awakening soon. But a thankful one too. Jasmine clings onto the part of the ship and looks to see the chaos.

A gasp of shock and horror escapes her lips as her eyes land on the gigantic dark vessel that had crashed against Hwanwoong's.

It can't be!

Kanye West.

Only the most treacherous of all the pirates out there. A ruthless scoundrel.

She'd outrun, well, outswam him, rather. Now he had found her again. But why? She had to help the humans out, but also keep low and out of sight. She makes sure that Yunho and Yeosang won't slip off the ship wreckage.

Jasmine glances at Yunho and Yeosang as they remain unconscious and draped over the ship's part, her mind racing with thoughts. Then a sudden thought hits her and she frantically looks back up at the ships.

Wooyoung!?

She watches in horror, unable to do anything as the giant ship groans and pulls away from the wrecked one. There's a terrible creaking noise that follows and then a series of loud splashes.

Hwanwoong!

Though he had been a crooked crazy man, she still cares a great deal for him and cannot just leave him. Besides, he had the others and Wooyoung. She has to do something. With Yeosang and Yunho still unconscious and not moving, she dives under the water and propels herself toward the splashes.

The remnants of the ship split and crash into the water, sinking under the surface and pulled down by the undersea currents. She dodges parts ever so often and spots the first person.

It's Hwanwoong, who is struggling to flap his arms and get back to the surface. With a sigh, she pushes and grabs him under the arms and zooms up, breaking the surface. She looks around rapidly for another plank of wood, while Hwanwoong gasps for air.

"The others, Jas! Find the others, I'll be okay."

Jasmine does as he says and dives back under the ocean water. Her eyes lock on another man struggling to swim. As well as a tiny dragon pulling at another one. She recognizes the dragon as Malteez and he has Hongjoong, bravely and shockingly tugging him back up to the surface with remarkable strength.

Jasmine launches for the other man, Mingi and finds San in the process, tugging them both up.

Hwanwoong has found a dingy and he helps her to get them both into the boat. Then he helps Malteez out, while she dives back under.

There's one missing.

The massive chunk of ship is slowly disappearing into the dark depths as she frantically looks around for the last ATEEZ member.

Where are you?

Finally she spots the beautiful young man known as Park Seonghwa desperately clinging onto a chunk of Hwanwoong's ship, before he loses oxygen and gradually lets go of the wood. NO! She shoots for him and catches him just in the knick of time, before he hits the edge of the dark depths.

Jasmine launches up to the surface with him and hauls him to Hwanwoong's small boat. Then she leads them over to where Yeosang and Yunho are.

Finally the two are waking up and discovering what is going on.

Hwanwoong's ship is gone.

Hongjoong's ship is missing.

And so are Wooyoung and Jongho.
