"How did you get here on time?" Joshua asked while wrapping the blanket tightly around himself before sitting on his bed, still shaking from what just happened. Seungcheol passed Joshua a glass of water as he kneeled down in front of him.

"I saw everything from the courtyard. Thank god it was the balcony. I don't even know what I would've done if something had happened to you, if I hadn't gotten here in time" Seungcheol stopped to breathe as he felt Joshua's hand on his.

"I'm supposed to protect you from anything that can hurt you, and if it includes him, I'll still protect you" Joshua tightened his grip on Seungcheol in an attempt to thank him.

"I'm happy you ran all the way up here for me, also for lying about whoever called. You won't get in trouble for that, right?" Joshua asked with concern filling his voice.

"Someone did call. I did" Joshua raised an eyebrow at Seungcheol's sly smile. "I send him a recorded death threat, and now he's running around downstairs trying to make sure he doesn't get murdered in his sleep" Seungcheol finally relaxed when he heard Joshua's laughter. He could swear it was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard.

"I can't believe you had time to do that" Joshua sipped on his water and looked at Seungcheol with hooded eyelids. "Let me tell you something. I had that recording for a while now. You can't stay sane in this business unless you have some sort of upper hand on your boss, and the fact that he's an idiot helps" Joshua looked warmly at Seungcheol despite everything he just said.

"Can you stay here until I sleep? I don't want to sleep alone."
