Is This A Joke?

It was 7 AM. The trip to Bank Valley would take about two and a half hours. It was in a part of Korea they had never visited before but they had heard about it on the news once, yet none of them could remember why.

The boys were throwing their luggage into the trunk of the large SUV they would all be riding in. The seven of them decided to travel pretty light, they figured they could wash their clothes at the house they were staying at. And aside from their tiny flip phones, they weren't allowed to bring their other electronics.

They were rushing to get their luggage in the car due to the fact that it had started raining outside, quickly turning into a monsoon.

Their manager had hired a driver to bring them to the house they'd be staying at, who would drop them off and return with the vehicle to the company. HYBE couldn't afford to be out one of their vehicles for an entire two weeks. Manager Jung figured they'd be okay without a car, they had phones and could call anytime if something happened. He also figured they could call an Uber if need be, although he completely forgot that Uber was also on lock down and wasn't currently offering rides. Oops.

"How is it this cold in June?!" cried Hobi. He was soaked from the rain and shivering while throwing the rest of his luggage into the back of the SUV. The other members had already finished loading the car and were sitting in it, except Jin.

Jin noticed how much Hobi was shivering and ran over to him. "Ah! Let hyung finish, you should just get in the car, you're freezing," Jin said as he put his hands to Hobi's cheeks.

Jin loved being the oldest of the group, it gave him a sense of pride. He was always extremely protective of the other members. He was admittedly even extremely overprotective sometimes but he couldn't help it. It was just some kind of internal instinct to protect the six younger members. After all, they were his little brothers. He never really pulled the oldest hyung card on them or asked for a certain type of respect. That was pretty evident every single time Jungkook would tease him.

Ah, the maknae. He loved his maknae probably more than life itself. He practically raised him. He had a soft spot for Jungkook, honestly they all did. Just something about him being the youngest made them all very protective towards that boy.

Hobi jumped into the vehicle as Jin threw the rest of the luggage into the trunk. It was raining so hard at this point. Jin slammed the trunk closed and hurriedly hopped into the back seat.

Finally, they were on the road.

"Two and a half hoursssss?" Jimin complained. "Manager Jung couldn't have picked somewhere at least a little closer?" Jimin wouldn't have minded the long ride so much if it weren't for the fact he had no source of electronic entertainment.

"Jimin-ah," said Namjoon, " We've traveled further. I guess we will have to do this trip the old fashioned way."

Namjoon started jokingly singing really badly, making the other boys laugh hysterically. Hobi was smacking Yoongi's thigh because he was laughing so hard. Yoongi looked around at everyone while he also laughed, he thought his members were all so cute.

He wasn't one to verbally express how much he loved and cared about them, but he always made sure to show it through his actions instead. Actions always speak louder than words, that was a trait he had picked up from his father.

"Taehyungie," Jungkook tapped Taehyung on his shoulder, "Do you want to thumb wrestle?" he asked.

"Only if you feel like losing," Taehyung teased. Jungkook was up for the challenge, he was always extremely competitive and knew he'd most likely win anyway. Taehyung was usually all talk when it came to that stuff. Jungkook thought it was cute.
