Bad Cop came home from work, and hung his coat on the rack. It was unusually quiet at this time of day, Benny is usually watching TV or cooking when he gets home.
He set down his keys and headed towards the bedroom, but stopped when he heard a few small sniffles coming from beyond the door. Lightening his footsteps, he peeked his head into the room and slightly cracked open the door. He saw Ben cuddled in the sheets, shaking and sniffling into his palms. Bad Cop quickly rushed over and put a hand on Bennys side. "Hey, whats wrong baby? Everything okay hun?" He whispered in a soft tone, moving Bennys hands away from his face.
Ben curled up, embarrassed and slightly startled. "I- nngh, um, ah.." As he fumbled with his words, he started to cry again. Bad Cop shushed him and got into bed, draping the covers over them. He put his arms around Bennys back and pulled him into a hug. "Shhh, its okay, I'm here sweetheart~" Benny snuggled close to Cop, whimpering into his shirt. After a few moments, Cop slipped both his hands up Bennys shirt and started to gently massage his shoulders, whispering sweet nothings in the boys ear. He felt Bennys muscles relax to his touch, and Ben wrapped his legs around Cops for security.
About 15 minutes or so later, Bad Cop lowered his hands out of Bennys shirt, and used both to cup Bens face. "You ok, bub?" He looked down in shame and nodded, too embarrassing to meet his gaze. Cop held him tighter. "You wanna talk about it BenBen? I'm always gonna be here for you, ok sweet boy?" Benny blushed, and took a few seconds to think.
"Well... I've just been t-thinking of my dad a lot lately..." Bad Cop frowned, and brushed his fingers through Bennys thick red hair. "I'm sorry hun, I know its hard. He came to our wedding though, remember baby?" Benny shook his head and started to shake a bit again. "I k-know..! I forgive him, he tried his best, but-but..." Cop kissed his forehead and rubbed the back of his neck, trying his best to comfort Benny. "Shh, its alright, Ben, I'm here," Cop continued to give soft kisses to Bennys head, feeling Bens legs tighten around his.
"I love you, Sinclair..." Cop looked down and smirked at how shy Ben was being. "I love you too, hun. Your so precious to me~" He rubbed their noses together, earning a giggle from Benny.
