Putting up Christmas decorations
(Taylor's perspective)
"Want to decorate for Christmas?" I asked.
"Oh my gosh yes!" Elizabeth replied.
"Okay let's go get the decorations from the storage." I said.
We carried out of the boxes and started to sort out what we can put out. Two hours later the house has exploded with everything Christmas except for one thing.
"We are missing something." I said looking around the house.
"The tree!" Elizabeth shouts.
"Let's go get one. We can leave in thirty minutes." I said
"Okay." Elizabeth said and runs up the stairs to get get ready.
We put on our coats and boots and went out to the car to drive to the nearest Christmas tree lot. Once we arrived we walk around with other people looking for tree's.
"Which one do we think we will pick?" Elizabeth asks looking at all of the different kinds of tree's.
"You can pick out the tree since this is your first Christmas here." I said.
"Really?" Elizabeth asks shocked.
"Yeah anyone you want." I said.
"Yes!" Elizabeth shouts excitedly.
We walked around looking at all of the tree's.
Elizabeth stops at a tree that's wasn't too tall it was a nice size in hight and it's one of the wider tree's in with. The tree was nice and full no empty space between any of the branches.
"I like this one." Elizabeth said
"It's perfect. Let's me go find a worker to help us out." I said.
We found two nice workers who where able to cut down the tree and carried it to the shaker machine to get the bugs out.
"What does that do?" Elizabeth asks watching them put the tree in the machine and turned it on as the machine shakes the bugs and dry leaves off of the tree.
"It gets all of the bugs out of the tree." I said.
"You wouldn't want to bring home the tree and have hundreds of bugs crawling around your house would you?" The worker asked Elizabeth and she laughed.
"Oh no that wouldn't be good." Elizabeth said.
The workers stop the machine and take the tree out and wrapped it in rope. Dave and Scott helped the workers put the tree on the roof of the car as I paid for the tree.
Once we arrive home Dave and Scott helped up carry the tree into our apartment building and into the house which took us 45 minutes.
We found a good spot for the tree and cleared space as Elizabeth swept the fallen tree beaches off of the group.
"Now the fun part. Decorating!" I said carrying boxes for the tree.
We put up red, silver and white ornaments and white lights on the tree. Along with a silver star on top of the tree.
"It's beautiful." Elizabeth said.
"It is. Thank you for picking the tree out. It's perfect." I said hugging her.
"Your welcome." Elizabeth said.
"Now I need to do other elf things once you are asleep." I said.
"What? Presents?!" Elizabeth asks excitedly.
"I can't say." I said and we laughed.
