Nyas POV

I groan in frustration as the tight knot I put on the frame of my bed stand comes out.

I move back to the bed stand as I retake the tanned rope, while tying the rope to the bed stand once more.

After I tie it multiple times, and I deme it safe, I then tie the end of the rope to my waist.

I tie it in the safest knot I know, the one Jay taught m-

I quickly cut off the train of thought as tears push against my eyes. I quickly wipe at my eyes as I push back the horrible memories that have clouded my dreams for years.

Once I feel that I have come back to my determined state of mind, I run back over to the window.

It's hard to move around in this dress I have on, but it's the only this this son of a djinn supplied me to wear.

As I look down at the long view down, I start to realize how crazy my escape might really be.

Is propelling down really a safe idea?

What if the rope gives?

What if I fall?

Think Nya! It's either this, or the djinn, which do you pick?

I sigh tiredly as I put one leg out of the window, as I cling onto the windowsill like it's my life line, which in this case, it is.

I then carefully move my leg off the floor, and onto the window. I then hold my breathe as I double check that the knot around my waist is secure, and enough to hold my weight, while also staying tight.

I tug on it a little, and it seems to stay in place, so I consider it 'safe.'

I then take my leg off the window, as both my feet now dangle out of my window, as the only thing keeping me up are my arms.

I slowly remove one arm as I grab onto the rope around my waist. I start to freak out once I realize that only my right arm is keeping me from falling to my doom.

I then tightly hold onto the rope around my waist as I shut my eyes.

"Come on Nya..." I breathe.

"Here goes nothing!"

I then let go as I quietly scream as I start to fall. I flail my arms around in a panic as I try to get back to my room, as I now suddenly realize the flaws in this plan.

I try to go back to my room, but it's too far up, and I'm falling.

Fast.

I try to think of what I was doing, what I was supposed to do, and what I'm supposed to do now.

I shakily breathe in as I breathe out. I slowly flutter my eyes open, as I now take the situation in, but in a better mind.

I quickly reach for the rope around my waist, as I grab it. I then rest my feet along the building, keeping me from falling any further.

Just as I rest my feet against the palace, my drop speed immediately starts to decrease. I now drop at a slower pace, as I start to go slower, and slower.
