You expected to rest a bit, after having just died, but it seemed like your frantic thoughts won't let you go back to sleep in this new and unfamiliar room of yours. Your mind kept racing at rapid speed, your emotions split in quite a lot of different ways.

A part of you felt happy, relieved, that you got another chance at life. That you hadn't withered into nothingness the moment your soul tore apart, that you hadn't fallen, it scared you so much. How you'd have almost fell in that endless pit of darkness.

While another part of you felt angry at this stupid fate, at the man who predicted your death, and, oh at her. Alice. The bitchy excuse of a friend, the friend who killed you.

Her last words to you rang in your ears, soft and clear, echoing ominously, "Sorry, (Y/n),"

"I'm sorry,"

"Forgive me,"

"I didn't mean to,"

"Sorry for killing you!"

You covered your ears, as you pictured the auburn haired girl who killed you, laughing maniacally while asking or forgiveness. In contrast to her to her sorry words, her hazel orbs showed no sign of guilt, rather, she seemed highly amused.

You shook your head violently, sitting up on the lavish bed, this was no time letting this traumatize you. You refused to let this get to you.

But, what now? You were a villainess with a fated doom written crystal clear in that book you read not long before your death. Damn it, you did not even get to finish that godforsaken book.

Taking in slow breathes, you comforted yourself by thinking you had a life. You still get to live.

If you escape your doomed fate, that is.

You cupped your face with your hands thinking it through.

Come to think of it, you had a chance! What was the villainess's fate, again? Yeah, right. She was in love with one of the friggin male leads, and her horrible jealousy towards the heroine brought her to her very own demise.

Like hell you would repeat the same fate.

Who cares about the male leads anyway? You weren't even reading the book with great passion, and you weren't attach to any characters.

All you needed to do was stay away from them, because they were sure to bring some trouble.

Then you'd live your own happily ever, who knows, maybe snag a cute side character and have your own fun life? To live a normal life here, you determined over three rules.

One, stay away from any prominent characters mentioned in the book.

Two, if interaction is necessary, just suck it up to the heroine.

Three, don't die.

If you die, everything might end for you, this was a good chance, and you weren't going to leave it be.

You didn't realize you fell asleep on the bed, not until a maid woke you up.

"Wake up, my lady," you saw a pretty brunette speak as you flickered your eyelids groggily, "Master says breakfast cannot be done without you present, and dare I say you have overslept a bit."

You smiled stupidly at her, "Can't...father eat by himself? I feel guilty now, I guess."

It seemed that you had a quite loving father, and granted that you weren't his 'real' daughter, you did feel sort of sad that his food be delayed by you.

Apparently, the maid seemed highly surprised by your behaviour, at which you cursed yourselves for perhaps acting unladylike or something. However, the maid didn't say anything herself and instead helped you freshen up and get ready into a pretty dress.
