?? : You know it, the one who laid hands on his family often knows a tragic end. You better be prepared for it.

- Prepared for it? How do you want me to be prepared to see the man I love die unjustly?

?? : I'm sorry but you have no choice. Believe me, I wish I could grow old by your side, form a family with you and love you every day of my life. The only thing you can be sure of is that I would have loved you until my last breath.

- I refuse to let you go, you don't have the right to abandon me like that. I will never get over it.

?? : This is where your brother comes in. Neither he nor I want you to suffer and even less because of my fault, so he will make sure that you do not remember it. Nothing about me, nothing about our relationship, and not even from him.

- You two don't understand anything! It is not by erasing my memory that things will get better!

?? : It's the only way we found beautiful. It's for your own good if we made this decision, to protect you from a reality that's far too hard to bear.

I woke up with a start, cold sweats running through my entire body. My heart was beating at a maddening speed and all my limbs were shaking deliberately. Second time. It was the second time that I heard this sight in my sleep. A man's voice that was far too familiar to me but that I couldn't put a face to despite my many unnecessary attempts. I approached my bedroom window shakily, and opened it wide, letting in the fresh morning air that made me shiver pleasantly.

Looking at the clock on the wall, I saw that it shouldn't be long before Naruto arrived at my house to accompany me to the training ground. I quickly got ready and had a breakfast that came down to a simple apple. Master Tsunade had asked one of his subordinates to do some small groceries for me, so that I had something to eat in my fridge these first days before I was able to go and buy them on my own.

I slipped on my shoes and waited impatiently outside my front door for my teammate to arrive, I basically looked like a child waiting for her friends on her birthday party. I was both stressed and also very excited to discover, or rather rediscover what I was capable of as a ninja. My fighting skills were one of the many things that had been erased from my memory because of that damn seal adorning the back of my neck. At 7:30 am, I heard someone knocking forcefully on my front door, and that person was none other than Konoha's little blond boy.

Naruto: y/n! Gosh your appartement looks gorgeous, I'm kind of feeling jealous!

It is true that it was pretty good and above all seemed to be in a good location in the village. It was a little too spacious for one person but that was only good for me, nor was I going to complain that my apartment was too big.

Naruto: I see that you're all dressed up. Let's go?

We then started the road to the training grounds belonging to the academy of ninjas. This time around I was paying a lot of attention to the path we were taking, trying to memorize every corner, every shop, every house, every turn. I had to be able to take this path over the next few days to go to the training grounds daily.

We had taken our time to make it easy for me to remember the way and when we finally arrived at the meeting place the pinkie was already there waiting for us.

It was exactly eight o'clock and I was anxiously waiting for our sensei to arrive to start the morning workouts. Unlike me, my teammates both sat down at the foot of a tree, Sakura pulled out a book which she began to read while Naruto dozed off. Seeing me totally stunned by their flippant demeanor, the blonde gave me a smile and patted one hand on the floor next to him.
