What's in the box?

"So, my darling tell me what is in the box?" Theodore asked his wife who was wearing a beaming smile.

"Well, what we wished for really?" Angel said as she was over the moon with the contents in the box.

"You're..... preg...nat?!!!!" Theo asked but was gobsmacked that it came out like he was cheering.

"It appears so, according to clear blue- 4 weeks to be exact!" Angel ecstatically said as she got up to kiss and embrace her husband.

"I've got such talented sperms!" Theo joked but Angel knew him Well enough to know he wasn't joking.

Angel kissed her husband as he then bent down on his knees and lifted up her shirt dress to kiss her little bump she was beginning to form.

"Hey pumpkin! Daddy's here. Now please don't hurt mummy to much otherwise daddy is going to be upset" Theodore talked into Angels stomach.

Angel rested her hands on the top of Theo's head and kissed him.

"I love you!" Angel said sweetly.

"I love you!" Theodore said as he got up off his knees and kissed his wife before politely asking if he could go back down stairs and continue watching the boxing.

Angel had no problem letting her husband watch boxing as it meant that she could go on her laptop and look on Pinterest for some nursey ideas.

Over the first 4 weeks that they actually knew that Angel was pregnant, it was very hard.

Angel was lacking in sleep, and energy. She was very determined to keep positive.

Theodore was there for most steps, he was always behind Angel as soon as she ran or briskly walked to the nearest toliet to endure her morning sickness.

Theodore would pull Angles hair away from her face, then he would rub her back upwards, downwards , left to right and even in circles if Angel required/preferred that.

He was especially helpful in Angel's food cravings. She was currently hankering for some Ice cream with oranges.

The door swung open and ran up the stairs and opened the bedroom door and saw his wife laying on her side at the end of the bed watching some dog programme on TV.

"Oranges and ice cream for m'lady" Theo declared, he did this quite a lot for his wife as it made her use her giggle which he hadn't heard in a while.

"Yummy!" Angel said loudly as she dismantled the bed carefully as her bump had gotten quite large.

The baby was incredibly healthy,  growing at the right speed, everything was perfect. Their next ultrasound they could find out the gender, expect that had a previous discussion of not wanting to find out.

Both families were overjoyed with the fact that they would be having their first grandchild.

Today was the last day of work for Theodore as he was taking three months off as paternity leave. 

When his alarm rang, he made sure that he left a note on Angie's bedside table reminding her that he would be home for six pm. 

When theo got on the tube to go to work, he got in a carriage that contained a young couple with a baby. The thought of him and angel looking exactly like this in a few more months made his heart swoon.

The baby than began to cry and some passengers rudely reacted. The mum got really awkward as she felt embarrassed so she asked her partner to pass the large muslin blanket and she draped it over her shoulders and grabbed the baby and placed the baby diagonally across her body and breast-feed the baby.
