"Today is the day" I thought to myself, as I put on my blue Nike shirt, shorts, and socks. I walk over to the clock and realize it's 7:30 which means that its almost time to go to school. As I wait I think about how ny day is going to go.

Today is one of the best school days of the year. Today me and some of the other chorus kids will be going to District Honor Choir. A time where we get to pretty much skip school to do one of my favorite things. We get to sing.

While I was caught up in thought, my "yellow limo", as my health teacher calls it, had snuck up on me. I walk on and wait for the end of my tedious 30 minute ride to school. After I get off the bus I make a

b-line straight to the chorus room where we were to wait for everyone to show up, so we could leave.

While I was standing around like the awkward person I am, my long time buddy Xavier comes over to me and questions

"Abdullah! Where is your friend Timothy!?!?"

Yes, before you ask, he calls me Abdullah which means servant to the gods.

I tell him that I don't know when he gets hear, so he leaves me to wait for him to enter the class. After a few minutes, my good old buddy Timothy walks through the door.

Since he was the last person to get there we left right when he walked in and said he was ready. During the quiet ride to Armstrong University, nothing really happened because I pretty much just plugged in my ear buds and blocked out the world.

When we walked into the lobby of the college I pretty much knew what we were going to do and where we were going to go because this will be my third time participation in this event.

I directed Timothy to the practice/warm up room. We were the first ones in there so we kind of just sat their and made some really terrible small talk as we waited for the other schools to arrive.

Another reason I have come to love District Honor Choir was that we got to gather together with the kids from all the different schools in out district, and the thing is that we all kind of enjoy each other. Like last year when we were here, I met this guy from our rival school and we were so chill about it. It is just so amazing!

After a few minutes of talking the first group of people walked into the room. Then the next group. And the next. Finally the room was filled pretty close to its maximum capacity.
