-The morning of the ceremony-
"Damien! Damien!"
"Do you think we could go out later?"
"Alpha of the Moonlit Waters pack, my room is always open for you~"
"Anytime Vera," I said, playing with her soft blonde hair.
These ladies are all over me. I had this effect on the girls of the pack as I was the up-and-coming Alpha of the pack. Vera was my favourite as she had golden locks, piercing green eyes, and a smokin' hot bod, with all her curves in the right places. I was going to leave with Vera when I caught an absolutely heavenly smell, it was a homely smell, one like freshly brewed coffee with hints of vanilla. A strong yet sweet smell.
I shifted my sight from Vera to the girl across me; it'd seemed she noticed our relation to each other as we locked eyes. When I saw her, I was quite disappointed with her looks. She wore a sort of business-casual attire, a black short-sleeved button-up, a pair of red jeans and black combat boots. It wasn't sexy in the slightest. In addition, she didn't have a lot of curves; you could hardly consider those bug-bites, boobs. I recognized her as being the daughter of one of my father's friends, Noelle, I remember meeting her when we were younger. We met as my father decided to introduce me to his Beta and family. Against my better judgment as well as the persistence of my wolf, Ardor, I mouthed something that seemed to have grabbed her attention. Mate.
As soon as I mouthed that, she spun on her heel and dashed in the other direction, almost as if I was the most hideous thing she'd ever seen! Oh, the nerve of that girl! Such insolence, to not follow the Alpha in his every move. No way in hell is my mate going to be as disrespectful as she is. My wolf was all head over heels for her though, but that doesn't mean anything. I should do some investigating. After walking to English class with Vera, I noticed her furiously writing in her notebook, not paying attention to my presence at all. Taking a seat behind her, I concocted a little plan to test her. When the class began, I made out with Vera who was seated next to me, but it didn't matter. She just sat there listening intently to the teacher and taking notes every minute. She's a resilient one. I'll give you that.
In the few classes we had together, I noticed a few traits she had. For one, I noticed that her arms were rather well built. She also has a habit of biting her fingers when she seemed nervous and she had the occasional tick of bouncing her leg up and down.
"Isn't she just lovely," Ardor said. "She has this aura about her that makes her so...desirable."
"That aura is called a mate bond, cool yourself, she isn't worthy of being the Luna."
"You wouldn't know until you've tried to go after her! Hmph!"
-Lunchtime-
When lunch rolled around, I noticed her leaving the class rather fast. My wolf urged me to follow after her, leaving Vera behind. She walked up the stairs, which strikes me as odd as the cafeteria was downstairs. I hid behind a wall and spied on her at the behest of Ardor and saw her knocking on the science class's window. A man soon walked out and greeted her. Noelle did a ridiculous and flamboyant pose before leaving which left me dumbfounded. What, What the fuck?
"Grrrrrrrr, I'm going to rip that man a new one if he keeps talking to her!" Ardor growled.
"Proves that she is an unworthy mate."
"It's not her that's the problem!"
"Look, she knows that she has a mate but still surrounds herself with other males! If that isn't whore behaviour then I don't know what is."
