"Ghuahh"

A flash of searing pain rushed throughout every nerve in your body, causing you to jolt up in a cold sweat. You swung your head around in confusion, only to be met with nothing- just a void of empty darkness . . .

"Ehem." A soft cough rang out from the silence. You turned your head towards the sound and gasped softly as you saw the outline of a tall figure approach you.

"Welcome back," he said with a grin in his voice.

Stunned, you remained unmoving on the floor, your eyes wide. "Wha- Who are you?" you managed through your hoarse throat.

A chuckle resonated from the man's chest, causing his silhouette to radiate and shimmer more than before. With that chuckle, you were able to make out more details about him, but the thing that caught your attention the most was the presence of two long horns jutting out from his head.

"Let's just say I'm your new boss. The one who just saved you."

"Boss?" you questioned.

The figure bowed and you could hear a toothy smile in his voice.

"The name's . . . Zalgo."

I wish I could say this is the end, BUT IT'S NOT. And it's all because Hannah convinced me to write a sequel . . . *Sigh* I never should have told her my ideas of what a sequel to this would look like; I should have just pulled the plug and called it quits. But, to be fair, I feel like the sequel I've planned out is gonna be way better than its predecessor now that I sorta know what I'm doing, so >:3c

Regardless, with the announcement and birth of a sequel comes the end of this book thus far . . . I cannot believe how many people have come to love and enjoy my work, even though it took so long (I'm so sorry). It brings me so much joy to know that what I've made could be enjoyed, in some way or another, by you guys :3

As for updates, hooo boy do I have some news for you. First off, though, I'm sorry for being absent for like two whole years. College is so h- Yeah, it's draining me of all my lifeforce. And, unfortunately, I have to go back for another quarter because some classes that I needed to take last year got overcrowded. But, by Christmas, I will have (hopefully) graduated! Yay! So the sequel chapter updates aren't going to be a thing 'til after I graduate.

I'm still planning on re-editing the previous chapters. I just don't know when it'll happen yet. I really wanna do it before I publish anything with the sequel, though. You'll know it's all been updated/edited when the whole {Under Construction} thing has been removed from the title and when I FINALLY mark this book as completed.

Also, here are some fun facts no one asked for but felt like sharing because why not:

• Jeff wasn't going to be the main antagonist for this story. Initially, it was gonna be Zalgo

• Slender was also a candidate in making him the main antagonist, which I did end up doing anyway, just later XD

• I don't know if any of you could tell, but writing any chapter/situation with Ben was my absolute FAVORITE

• Almost all of Lily's aspects was based on my best friend, Hannah (aka the editor)

• Hannah started being my editor sometime after I first wrote ch 12 (so that's why I wanted to re-edit the previous chapters; they were pretty bad compared to the one she edited, heh)

• Unfortunately, it takes us forever to edit cuz not only are we usually busy with life, but we cannot stop making jokes and getting off-topic while we read/edit the chapters

• Before I even started writing this book, I legit thought I would finish it with, like, 10 chapters (what I fool I was)

• (surprisingly?) EJ isn't my #1 favorite Creepypasta. He's in my top 5, though.

• (I think) I started this book around my senior year of high school, so I've been working on this thing for years :'D

• The idea of this book kinda stemmed from my fear of becoming blind, which I had because I used to have these small episodes where I'd get headaches, and part of my vision would be blurry as hecc for up to an hour (I have no idea what caused it or what it was, but I haven't had it happen to me for years now, so I'm fine)

• This indeed was my first time writing a "book" (if you would even call it that).

• I'd rate this thing a solid 6/10

• There was gonna be an April Fool's chapter where Hannah was gonna write a super romantic chapter, and I would come in and proclaim it as non-canon

• I actually know nothing of romance. Everything relatively romantic in this book was 99.9% written by Hannah

• I really wanted to write a Christmas one-shot special or something, which would have been a sort of "after the fact" thing (but now since I'm writing a sequel, y'all are getting more content anyway)

• I didn't really have a goal for this book tbh. I just wanted to try writing.

• Actually, a small goal of mine was to make it somewhat realistic (which I think some of you mentioned I achieved, and I'm so heccin happy that I did)

• I love every comment I read. They've either made me laugh/smile or made me want to throw my phone over how much support y'all were giving me, or because of the nice compliments I somehow got
