One, two
I stare at you
Three, four
I look at the floor
Numbers protect me
Numbers are sane.
Olive green and acid rain.
To battle and arms I say farewell,
To strength and love in every cell.
My hope was strong, my eyes were weak.
Insanity, are the things that I seek.
I cannot choose to be the one in pain.
She is like me. It is all in vain.
Drooping lips and a rested head.
Fighting hearts of blue and red.
Patience is easy with the end in sight.
Patience is hard in an endless plight.
Gentle hands caress my hair.
I do not feel; I am not there.
My biggest fear and darkest thought,
Troubles I have, troubles I have not.
Find the words within the rhyme.
Tell me your secret, and I'll tell mine.
