The Smile

Such a silly little smile.

It made my day.

I had waited for a while

For things to be okay.

I feared it would be tough.

Getting back to before.

The smile was enough

And now I want more.

I thought you would be mad.

I beat you at your game.

It wasn't that bad.

Because your smile came.

Your silly face was priceless.

It came so unexpected.

You could not be careless.

The truth was not protected.

You may not even know it

I don't think you felt it there

But how your face did show it

Happiness was everywhere.
