When I'm away from you I see your flaws,
but when I'm with you I am filled with awes.
Your smile makes me feel like a child;
Your frown makes me think for a while.
Your heart scares me half to death;
where will you go after your last breath?
You're too smart to know what's right;
when I tell you you're wrong you just want to fight.
My eyes search you out and I don't understand.
Is it just because you're talented and you're in the band?
I saw you and I loved you,
I met you and I hugged you,
I talked to you and I cared for you,
I understood you and I'm scared for you
You argue and change the subject;
I tell you the truth but you always object.
You're my best friend and I can't let go;
I'll love you but you'll never know.
You're too devoted to change your mind,
but I know for a fact I will never change mine.
I'll never tell,
I'll never sell,
It will never be
because you will never see.
