soulmate shit (Drarry version)

This part covers what ends up happening between harry and Draco with references to the previous part and swearing ~ Robin

*Harry's POV*

Once I had officially decided I really do hate Hermione I managed to get back to my research, or as she called it, time wasting. I grabbed as many books as I could find on the topic of soulmates and for once in my life was actually intrigued and wanting to read.

As I read I tried desperately to cover the titles of the books because of 'mione thought this was utter nonsense then what would complete strangers or fellow pupils think? Thankfully no one I recognised from our year was actually present in the library today. I mean of course no one was going to be, it's just me being paranoid... again.

As I was reading it spoke more of eye colour changes and how they will only appear in their eyes when at least one of you hates the other (Draco severely hates me so that's something to add to the list). But it doesn't occur when they like you or know you like them. The last time I had tried to check this (after the dodgy advice his Godparents had given him) I had thoroughly failed. Draco just got more annoyed with me because he couldn't stand the fact that 'the golden boy' had bumped into him. I knocked books out of his hands and what Draco believed was me being to stuck up to help pick things up was actually me trying to catch his eyes in the light.

I shook my head at the thought of that disaster and read on. I soon finished the book on eyes and moved onto chosen words. It stated that the first words your soulmate will say directly to you will be ones already on you, whether that be tattoo or simple pen. It also stated that those words will then remain on your being until the two of you put your differences aside and get together. It said that the words should tingle when they are first said and glow red when you first read them, pulling you and your soulmate together, starting the healing process and stopping arguments. At that I was bought back to the first words Draco had said to me.

Draco had only said his first words specifically to me about a week ago, which is what I spoke to Moony and Padfoot about. The words he had spoken to me had been "Nobody needs you Golden boy". He had actually said it to my face and said 'you' instead of his usual 'a' indicating he was talking only to me, even though he acts to high and mighty to have a conversation with me. What was even more odd was that while I was completely ignoring him, like I normally do, I felt the most peculiar sensation on my lower arm. At lunch later that day I went to the bathroom and looked at my arm. When I looked at it the words written there were ones that Draco had said to me earlier. As I looked at them they glowed red quickly as I read the words I had written on myself that morning. I had been so annoyed with myself for seeming perfect and academic to the school because I was head boy, whilst inside me was a war as to whether to stay on this bumpy road known as life or just to let myself be thrown off that I wrote the reasons not to stay on my left and to stay on my right arm instead of c*tting myself for a change.

As I was remembering this I was led back to the thought of the words on my arm, I lifted the sleeve on my left arm and was not so shocked to see that the words "Nobody needs you Golden boy" were still on my arm while the other hateful things had been washed off by the showers I'd had since the incident. I was so deep in thought about my new coping mechanisms and this whole new soulmate possibility that I hadn't noticed someone come up behind me and be staring at the words on my arm either. However, a sneer from behind me soon changed that.
