**Short chapter, sorry!"**

- Present Day-

Saturday

It was mid morning when the phone went, being a pro now at hiding a hangover, especially from Hector, you'd managed to pull yourself together for Christmas without the family noticing you were seriously fucked and maybe even still a little drunk.

"Hello"

"Would you like to accept an call from inmate Mickey Henry"  **I know that's not quite the right wording but bare with me**

Your heart dropped as the voice on the other end of the phone asked you to dial a code to accept a call from prison.

"Y/N?" Mickey's voice came though the phone, a tinge of hope, sadness and stress in his voice.

"Mickey? Whats going on?" Seeing Hector happily playing with his new toys and everyone else occupied you walk swiftly into your room and shut the door.

"We got arrested last night, shortly after you left for being naked, drunk and on a vehicle" the disappointment in his voice was evident. You could have been mad, but then again it had partly been your fault.

"Shit Mickey that's all my fault... you gave me your clothes and I ... "

"No its mine..." he corrected sternly "listen Y/N...." there was a pause "they can't get me though the court systems till Monday..." You could visualise him running his hands though his hair.

"Are they joking? But you have to be here... and it wasn't..."

"I know I was gonna makes some calls but I don't know what to do, I'm stuck... I'm so sorry...I keep letting you both down and I swore not again... I need help."

"You won't be letting us down because I'll have you here...like you said... Monday afternoon."

"You what, how?"

"You let me worry about that Mickey, this isn't your fault and I won't have it..." you say sternly already making arrangements in your head.

"Please don't do anything stupid for god sake..."

"Mickey Henry... did you actually just tell me not to do anything stupid... from prison?" You stop the pacing you seemed to have started without realising, a smile creeping across your face.

"We could pretend I didn't..." You hear a grin though his words.

"You're an idiot Mickey.." you giggle at the situation but then you grow a little serious "I'm guessing Chloe is in jail too..." You ask knowing the answer. You were fuming at her but you didn't wish Greek jails on anyone.

"Yeah.... we got separated last night... listen..." he trials off as you hear the mumbled voice of a guard telling him he had two more minutes.

"I will help her too, if I can, I promise." You assumed that's what he was going to ask of you but the surprise in his voice suggest he hadn't thought about it.

"You're too good for this world Y/N, I have no idea what in my life I did to earn someone like you to be in it..." he said sincerely, your heart fluttering in your chest.

"I love you Mickey, I always have and I always will... and so does Hector... he needs his Dad and so do I... I will have you out asap just hang on." You breath a sigh of relief as you get that off your chest. At this point, it didn't matter if he didn't feel the same, you just needed him to know.

"Y/N I ..." Mickey was interrupted by a guard pulling the phone off of him and hanging up. Maybe it was best you didn't hear what he had to say just yet... there would be no crying over Christmas.

 . . .

"Yes Christos the lot...." You spoke in a business tone down the phone to Christos, the only man with enough power to make it happen. In exchange for his help, you had sold your business complexly to him and by selling the equipment of Mickeys he no longer needed you would be able to pay off the majority of remaining debts to him and you would, once you were settled with a new job pay higher rent until you moved out and helped him find new tenants who could pay the actual amount required for Christos to make a profit from the apartment, he had been giving you 'mates rates' on his fancy two bed.

"I'm glad we could come to this arrangement my sweet..."  he toys with you over the phone.

"Just please get him out...." you reply exhausted towards the end call. Christos' tone softens a little...

"I will do what I can Y/N, I promise, as for Chloe..... I don't know if I can manage both but I will check she has someone good in her corner and she should be out in no time."  It was a relief to hear he was going to make sure she had a good defence even if there wasn't any strings he could pull... but if it was a choice between her and Mickey getting out tomorrow  or Monday morning then that was a sacrifice you had to make for the sake of your son.

"Beneath the facade Christos, you can be a decent human being at times..." you try to end the call on a positive, he was after all helping.

"And I think you like me a little more than you care to admit..." he chuckles lowly down the phone "invite me to the wedding yes? I think it's about time Athens saw you and Mickey back together again" and with that he hangs up.

"Arsehole"

. . .

. . . WITH MICKEY. . .

After his case was dismissed, Mickey was able to get home. The absolute relief he felt when he walked out and saw you in the car waiting for him was unreal. He knew then, right at that moment as he watched you spot him, a loving smile on your face as you quickly got out the car to greet him, he knew he loved you and that no one else was ever going to come close. But just because you'd said what you had on the phone, it didn't mean you wanted to try again. So he kept it to himself ... plus he still had Chloe... someone he quickly dismissed from his mind as you  practically throw yourself at him as you engulfed each other in a hug.

"Mickey!" you shouted before your voice was muffled in his chest "I'm so glad you're out...they didn't hurt you did they..?" You suddenly pull yourself away a little using your hands to check his face and body for injuries.

"No" he laughed, pulling your hands together inside his and staring at you. "Thank you" he smiled gently, his eyes full of guilt.

"Someone has to be there to get you out of trouble..." you give him a shy smile as you remove a hand from his and stoke his face. You both stand there for a moment. "There might be a chance, Chloe can come out early.... but I don't know... I did try... but Christos..."

"Wait Christos?"

"Who else did you think I'd call??" you raise a brow as you lead him back to your car.

"True..." he shrugs but frowns as he opens the passenger door and climbs in "what did you have to do?" he asks concerned as you get your seatbelts on.

"Only sell my soul..." you joked but Mickey didn't laugh. "Oh cheer up...." you paused "I sold the shop, the tech equipment you don't use and I'm going to pay more rent until I can find somewhere else to live so he can make a profit from the flat." he stares at you gobsmacked but you don't turn around, you just start to drive.

"Shit Y/N..."

"Mickey its fine... it will all be fine ok?" It then that you turn, briefly squeezing his hand with a smile before concentrating on the road. Agreeing that it was best Hector and Grandma knew nothing about it, you had let him in with your spare key and told him his stuff was on its way back, Argyris was going to drop off his bike later and Eleni who worked at the bar some weekends, had found his helmet and jacket and would give it to you on Monday. It was almost painful to watch you leave.
