2008

When we were both sixteen years old, we’ve became much and much closer, we studied in the same school, we were classmates in some subjects and we sit together during lunch with our friends, Khalil and Cat. After school we’d usually hang out in my house, play some video games. One afternoon, we went to my place, Khalil brought some of his favorite video games to play, as usual,   Mrs. Evans and my Mom was doing something together.

            “Hi mom.” I said. “Hi mom.” Rachel said. “Hey kids.” Mrs. Evans said as she drinks her orange juice.

“it’s so nice how both of your moms are best friends” Khalil said as he slips his hand in a bowl of popcorn.

 “Heck yeah, Jane and I here have been best friends since the day they moved here.” Mom said as she drinks her orange juice.

            “Mom, we’d just be in my room, we’ll play some video games, okay?” I said wanting to end the long conversation that might happen.

            “Oh sure, do you want some snacks? What would you like?” Mom asked us.

            “Popcorn please!” Khalil said, “And some orange juice” Cat added, “Popcorn and orange juice it is.” Mom said.

“Yay” Cat murmured.

We went up to my room and Rachel opened up her laptop as I turned on my PlayStation, Khalil and Cat on the other hand keeps eating the popcorn and drinking all the juice.

            “What do you guys wanna play first?” I asked.

            “I wanna play Wizard Tech 4” Khalil said with his mouth full so I barely understood what he said.

            “I’m just going to surf the net with Rachel, you guys can play your video games.” Cat said as she sat beside Rachel.

            “Kdot.” I said as I turned back and put the Wizard Tech disk in

After minutes of playing Wizard Tech, I was beginning to get bored, meanwhile Cat and Rachel were laughing at something, I paused the game and asked them the reason why they keep laughing.

            “Why are you both laughing like there’s no tomorrow?” I asked.

            “Ohhh nothing dear Jeremy” Cat said.

            “You’d be in mental hospitals if you laugh without a reason, come on, tell me, why do you keep on laughing?” I asked again.

            “It’s nothing, just go back to your game” Rachel said.

I went back to my game but I heard some whispers between Rachel and Cat and I listened carefully…

            “Oh my god Rachel! He’s so dreamy.” Cat whispered to Rachel.

            “I know right, he’s so cute,” Rachel said.

I stood up again and turned to them.

            “Tell me, what are you talking about?” I asked

            “Bryce Roberts” Cat said as she took a bite of her chocolate bar.

            “Who?” I asked again

            “You know, our classmate in 5th period, Rachel’s crush?!” Cat said as she tries to help me remember who that Bryce kid is, she turned the laptop to me and I saw a picture of Bryce, blond and tan.
