I posted on my Instagram and realized I had an incoming text from Tayler.
Tay Tay Hey! How are you? Just thought maybe you could use some time away from the house. I can come pick you up and take you to lunch if you want. (:
ME Sure! I could use some fresh air and food. I'll see you in a bit.
"Vinnie! I need help! Vincent! Vinnie!" I yelled for Vinnie until he came running into my room.
"Sorry i was sleeping. Most normal people like to sleep in." He mumbled as he carefully pulled me to stand up.
I rolled my eyes at his laziness. "Vin, most people are awake before noon. Tayler asked me to lunch and I figured I could use some fresh air. I just need to shower and get dressed."
"Oh okay. I can help you- I mean i'll ask Mia or Kouvr. Be right back." He rubbed the back of his neck as his cheeks turned a slight red.
I laughed as I waited. Kouvr and Mia would stay in the bathroom or sit in my room just to make sure I wouldn't fall. It was hard to do normal things while wearing a large cast around my leg.
Finally I was all showered and ready to go. I had some jean shorts on, a crop top, and slipped on some high top converse. I got a text from Tayler saying he was waiting in the living room and I slowly made my way down the hall.
"There she is! Little miss cripple." He smiled big at me.
"Ha...ha so funny. I'll beat you up with my crutches if you're gonna be mean!" I pretended to lift my crutch up.
"Okay, okay. Let's go before you hurt me. We'll be back later!" Tayler waved and helped me out to his car.
He opened my door and threw my crutches in the back seat. "Thanks." I smiled as he shut my door.
He started the car and drove down the long driveway.
"So, anything new with you and Vinnie? He wasn't super talkative with me." He glaned over and then proceeded to focus on the road.
"Um, yeah. Just friends at the moment. We decided that if we potentially want something later on that we need to start as friends. I don't honestly have feelings for anyone but him so I know I have to be patient, which is scary." I sighed.
"Patience is key. I'm gonna talk to him about a fight coming up on June 12th." Tayler casually mentioned.
"A fight? Like boxing? Why?" I snapped my head to his direction.
"Chill kai. It's tiktokers vs. Youtubers. Nothing crazy. The main event is Bryce and Austin Mcbroom. Vinnie and I as well as other tiktokers are also involved but I just wanted to clarify it with Vinnie." Tayler explained.
"Boys. I will never understand why fighting solves anything." I shook my head.
We made it to the restaurant and of course the paparazzi was out snapping all the pictures they could get.
"Do they ever go away?" I shook my head as I watched the flashes from their cameras.
"It's alright. I got you!" Tayler jumped out of the car and came to my side.
"Tayler! Tayler! Are you and Kailah dating?
"Kailah how's the leg?"
I finally caved and had to set rumors straight. I was tired of the paparazzi needing to know everything.
"No. Tayler and I aren't dating and Vinnie and I aren't dating. Can't you guys go find other people to bother? You guys will do anything and everything to expose celebrities or influencers and it's ridiculous! Please leave us alone!" I covered my face as I hobbled along with Tayler pushing them out of the way.
Tayler and I ate and had a good time at lunch. Obviously there weren't any more feelings between us and just a good guy and girl friendship. It was everything I needed from someone. I needed a friend who understood what I was feeling.
We arrived back at the hype house and I heard laughter coming from what sounded like Vinnie's room and just assumed he was streaming.
Tayler and I made our way towards his room but before we could knock a brunette pulled the door open laughing.
"Oh, sorry I didn't know there was anyone here." She laughed. She was wearing one of Vinnie's hoodies that he has given me previously.
All I could do was smile. I couldn't form a sentence to tell her anything.
"We just got here! I was just stopping by to talk to you Vin." Tayler interfered.
"Oh hey man! Yeah come in. I'll be right back." He stood up from his bed and walked out to chase after the girl. "Hey Kai! How was lunch?"
"Great." I starred at him blankly as he walked past me.
I made my way inside his room and sat beside Tayler as we waited for Vinnie to come back.
"You okay? I know that caught you by surprise." Tayler calmly touched my arm.
"I'm fine. I wasn't expecting that so soon. I didn't know we were seeing other people. I'm actually gonna go chill in my room. I'll see you sometime this week i'm sure." I gave him a quick side hug and hobbled to my room.
Ugh I wish dating was easier than people may it look. Why was I so upset? I was the one who told Vinnie we had to start as friends. I messed up.
