Planet Lavadom, in the somewhat distant past. The sky is black as night, and dark spheres surrounded by smaller orange spheres attached to them with a single evil red eye swarm the land. The People are panicked as their hero Inferno tries desperately to fight off the invading Dark Matter swarm. The people flee as Inferno creates a wall of flame to hold back the swarm of Dark Matter, but he can only hold it for so long. The Dark Matter invaders try to possess the people of Lavadom, but Inferno burns the Dark Matter away to protect the people. Inferno hopes that if he puts up enough of a fight then Dark Matter will think Lavadom isn't worth the effort and leave the planet, but the power of the Dark Matter swarm begins to make him doubt himself. Digging deep within his soul, Inferno uses all the flaming powers at his disposal to fight back against the invading Dark Matter with as much burning ferocity as he can muster. The swarm of dark Matter turns its attention onto Inferno, as he predicted.
What Inferno did not predict is the Dark Matter swarm attacking him full force, in such great numbers that there isn't much he can do. So, Inferno does the one thing he can do. Sure, he'll need time for his powers to recover after this, and it'll take a massive toll on his body, but protecting this planet is worth it. Inferno takes a deep breath, feeling the heat of the planet surrounding him. This is HIS planet, and he won't let it fall to Dark Matter. Monster flames erupt from the lava across the battlefield as Inferno turns the planet itself into his weapon. He knows he's pushing far beyond his limit, and he can feel the negative impact on him already, but this is for the people of Lavadom. The dragon-shaped monster flames burn threw the swarm of Dark Matter, and Inferno pushes himself harder. Dark Matter begins to retreat as Inferno feels his body begin to give out. He collapses to the ground, feeling powerless. The strain that put on his body makes it feel like he's burning. He begins to black out as the people of lavadom begin to rally and fight back against the Dark Matter swarm.
Planet Lavadom, the recent past. Inferno's powers have begun to return, he can summon his fire weapons again. Strange people with spears coming from he doesn't know where lead by a strange, robed woman with powerful fire magic have invaded the planet in search of what they call "Jamba Hearts". Inferno is doing his best to defend Lavadom's hidden city from these invaders, but there's only so much he can do against them and their monsters. The monsters with ice shields aren't a problem, but the flying monsters that attack with water and the monsters with the fire shields are giving Inferno trouble. The invaders believe that there is a "jamba heart" in the hidden city, that's why they're attacking. They've already broken threw the defensive walls, and overcome the hidden guard outposts, and the battle is being fought at the front gate of the city itself. Inferno will not let this city fall. So many have perished, too many. He's wounded, but he's fighting on for the sake of the people of the planet fighting at his side. They see him as their unstoppable hero, and he won't break their fantasy.
If only he were at his full strength, then he could try and use his super move to take out this army faster. Monster Flame would definitely be helpful. He can of course create bigger swords and hammers of fire, but he isn't sure if his powers have returned enough for him to do that. Yes, Inferno's fire breath is effective too, but it only has so much range. The invading army is beginning to push Inferno and the people defending the city back. Inferno's panicking. His powers haven't completely recovered, what can he do? The leader of this invading army suddenly yells something about a pink puffball and leads the army away. Inferno confusedly looks into the distance and sees a pink someone and 3 of his friends running up the side of a mountain. Strange, but there is no time to ponder that now. There are defenses to be re-built.
Inferno wakes up in a cold sweat. Looking around, he remembers where he is. Battleship Halberd. He hears the hum of the reactor. The bed he's in is soft and cozy. Kirby is sound asleep in a chair in the room, wearing a blue sleeping cap with white polka-dots. Inferno realizes that Kirby must have brought him here. Inferno lets out a shaky sigh, chastising himself for using the monster flame before he thought he was ready. That was stupid of him, and that Meta Knight character will have questions he will want answered. He can only hope doing that didn't slow down the healing of his powers.

FanfictionYes, i am writing a Kirby fanfiction using an OC i created. Why, you may ask? Because why the hell not. I do not own any of the characters, except my OC Inferno. I also do not own the art.
