[2 years later]
"Mom!"
"Mom! Look!"
I turned around to see the boy I adored so much running towards me with his punky finger pointing at a candy on the shelf.
"Oh you want that?" I smiled at him, bending down to his height to pick him up.
"Yes, mommy, please." He whined with a cheeky smile, I've never thought there would be as day like this.
There was no doubt, it was Chaeyoung's child. Of course, I didn't see any of the girls including Chaeyoung after the last night we spent together.
The day I found out I was pregnant again, the same feelings came back, what was i gonna be now? A single mother? There were up and down obviously. But I tried my best to make sure my child didn't starve.
"Alright alright, we can have that after dinner. How 'bout that?" He nodded repeatedly as I grabbed the candy going to the cashier.
I set him down as I reached into my bag for my wallet. As I pulled my card out for the cashier, I looked down to see Jinyoung no where to be seen. I sighed knowing he probably ran back to the candy section, but the motherly side of me still panicked.
"I'll be back." I said to the cashier and made my way back to the candy section.
"Jinyoung! How many times do I have to remind you do not wander alone?" I said ready to scold him as I turned the corner, only to see Jinyoung on the floor, looking like he fell down.
But what caught my attention was the woman towering over my son, reaching a hand out to Jinyoung, Jinyoung's little chubby hands reached up to grab the much bigger hand.
The woman easily pulled Jinyoung up to her feet.
As I was in the corner they didn't seem to notice me.
The woman's back was facing me and I couldn't see her face, but she surely do look mascular and strong. Her hair was dyed light brown and she was wearing a suit, from the side I notice small string of hair falling onto the side of her forehead.
A few rings in her hand and a piercing on her ear. Her imagine and figure definitely reminds me of her, but no, it can't be there's no way.
Jinyoung started crunching his nose in pain as I saw his knee scratched a bit. I frown and made my way to them but stopped as the woman spoke.
"Kid, you shouldn't run like that." No way, there's no way.
The woman chuckled. " Where's your parents?" She asked. Jinyoung pointed out to my direction has he sees me, the child happily run towards me, the woman raised an eyebrow and looked towards where Jinyoung was running at. Our eyes locked.
It's her.
It's really her.
"Mom!" Jinyoung sadly pout. "I hurt my knee." I broke eye contact with Chaeyoung and gulp, bending down towards Jinyoung.
"Let's go home, I'll clean your wounds and that teaches you a lesson don't ever run away from me again, understand?" Jinyoung nodded as his little fingers gripped tightly on my thumb.
I turned around to get back at the cashier. "Jennie?"
I stopped. Jinyoung turned around at the woman. "You know my mom's name?" Jinyoung frowns.
I could hear Chaeyoung's footsteps coming closer.
I cleared my throat and turned around to see Chaeyoung's face right in front of me, she definitely got more beautifully handsome when we last saw each other, she was more hot and tall.
"Chaeyoung." I mumbled. "You we're about leave and act like you didn't see me there." She chuckled.
I stayed silent, taken aback at her sudden appearance.
"We met again.." She smiled, her famous chipmunk smile that made my stomach flip. "I can see you've change a lot." I said and she nodded.
"It seems like we're meant to be." Chaeyoung said with hands on her pocket.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her, her eyes glance at an employee next to us setting things on the shelf, as she saw Chaeyoung, bowed and walked away.
"Oh, um this is one of the shops I'm taking over in the city." Chaeyoung replied. "You're still with the gang?" I smiled, happy to know the girls were all still together, a whole family.
"Yes, it's a lot going on." Her eyes then traveled to Jinyoung. My smile dropped. Jinyoung does have a few things similar to Chaeyoung, like a mini version.
"He's mine, isn't he?" Chaeyoung asked, her turning a bit more serious. I simply nodded and looked down at the small boy who looked up at me with doe eye and confusion written all over his face.
Chaeyoung let out a relief sigh. "Jennie, do you remember the promise we made?"
Oh of course.
How can I ever forget that?
"Will you let me in now?" Chaeyoung said, her hand reaching out for me to take.
I smiled, "We run into each other no matter how much we try to get away from each other."
"I still feel the same way I felt when we last saw each other." Chaeyoung stated.
"So I do." I smile up at her, placing my hand on hers.
"Mom?" Jinyoung frowned in confusion.
I bend down to pick the boy up. "Yes?"
"It's sleepy." He yawned. Laying his head on my shoulder. Chaeyoung's eyes stared in adoration. "Can I?"
I nodded handing Jinyoung over to her, Jinyoung happily giggled and snuggle into Chaeyoung chest.
Chaeyoung's other free hand gripped onto mine as she pulled me out, not forgetting to grab Jinyoung's candy on the way.
"I can't believe it." Chaeyoung turned to me.
"You're finally mine."
Tears filled my eyes as all the flashbacks come back.
Our first argument, our first kiss, our first time, when he confessed, when I was pregnant, when I had the accident, after all the ups and downs. Yet here we are.
We're soulmate's, but we meet in the wrong time.
And now it's time to make it right.
