"Kunikuzushi"

Water droplets rippling against the streams startled you awake. You hadn't known when or where you fell asleep until your gaze refocussed on that same scenery from before you slept. It was cold. A tolerable coolness, however, with an additional haori draped over your figure acting as a temporary blanket of warmth. Your hands darted to your face, wiping off any debris off your person before looking around in search of Kunikuzushi.

You'd slept there. You unintentionally spent a whole night sleeping underneath Inazuma City in that spacious cavern.

Your clothes were damp, close to drying, but still uncomfortable enough to keep you cold. You stretched your appendages from where you were still laying before dropping down onto your back, watching a shadow formed at a droplet of water you were staring at.

"You're awake," Kunikuzushi's voice was now easily remembered in your mind. A voice you couldn't forget. "It's about time, I never planned on babysitting, for your information." Kunikuzushi sat on the side where your head had laid, and he placed down what seemed like breakfast for that day. Two onigiri for each of you. "Eat quickly. I'm sure we both have things to get done." "Thank you-" you sat up, fixing your posture until you took notice of Kunikuzushi's attire. If it weren't for the shorts and sandals, Kunikuzushi would have been ultimately naked before you.

You winced, taken aback by his lack of care for his body being displayed before you.

"Whose haori did you think you were using?" Kunikuzushi scowled. You must not have noticed his attire originally due to his long hair covering much of his person. "Put it on if your clothes are wet." You settled on devouring your breakfast first and foremost. After wiping your mouth, you were about to remove your clothing until you peered over your shoulder to catch a glimpse of Kunikuzushi boldly staring at you continued.

"..."
"What?"
"...Must you watch?"

Your face grew hot, slightly embarrassed by having an audience, and your grip on your clothes released, allowing the fabric to fall back into its original state.

"I am not some random stranger," Kunikuzushi stated whilst standing up. He was about to walk right past you but turned to face you directly. His forehead was almost touching yours; his eyes were locked onto your own and his presence before you made your breathing hitch. "Just watch what you say to me." Kunikuzushi stated, referencing to your abrupt attitude, even though you knew it was perfectly justified. He brought his hand up to wipe off something you missed on your face before putting it into his own mouth. You stared at him wide eyed as he walked away with a giddy smirk spreading across his face.

The moment he turned away and placed his hands into his shorts' pockets, you quickly stripped yourself of the wet clothing and replaced it with Kunikuzushi's haori. It was extremely thin and light, you contemplated how you hadn't heard him complain about the weather in this. It was quite revealing, but your torso was almost on full display if you hadn't had to keep it in place with your own hand.

The haori had simplistic designs suited for masculine tastes - coating both the front and rear consisting of formal grey and lilac stripes. It seems Kunikuzushi abstained from giving you the entire outfit on purpose. You didn't particularly want to run as you were dressed like this, but you had no other option if you wanted to catch up to the man who walked ahead. Calling out for him in a cave like this would do you both no good either.

As you made your descent deeper into the cave, you took note of how much warmer the temperature had grown. You weren't oblivious to the current time of day, however you found it unusual to see Kunikuzushi during the day and not in your usual late-night hours.

Now that you thought about it, to others it probably seemed even stranger that the two of you only saw each other during the night.

"..." You stopped walking as you processed this, allowing your feet to get wet at the water briefly soaked your footwear.
