The sun peaked high above the broad horizon by the time Lisa woke up empty-handed. Gone was the feeling of Jennie's back pressed against her chest, gone was the feeling of her small hands holding her own, gone was her floral scent, gone was her warmth. Jennie was gone and Lisa could feel the emptiness she left behind once again. It was all too familiar for her feeling she dreaded to experience.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes and stretched her stiff limbs in the tiny space of the hut before making her way outside carefully, expecting to find the brunette probably sitting by the fire or preparing some type of improvised breakfast. When Lisa didn't catch a single trace of her, though, she started wondering where she could have walked off to.

A slight panic aroused in her. For how long had Jennie been gone? Where did she go? Was she okay? Lisa pushed away all sorts of questions that suddenly bombarded her head, trying to convince herself that she was just overthinking it too much. Jennie had gone missing in the jungle before too. Why was that time any different? Lisa had an idea that she tried to ignore along with everything else. Maybe she started caring too much again.

The thought tugged at her chest. She was going back to square one and she could do absolutely nothing to change that as long she kept on being in Jennie's strangely comfortable company, and that was going to be for much longer than she wished. Everything was going to get only worse for her.

Lisa signed and accepted the unpleasant reality before deciding to walk around and try to look for the lost brunette. She followed a path of steps engraved into the slightly moist soil that curved between the trees - small steps fitting exactly Jennie's shoe size - until she reached the water basin they were located nearby.

She froze in place when her eyes followed the steps until they landed on the pair of shoes that initially created them. She brought her gaze further up and caught sight of a scrunched-up pile of clothes thrown messily over a big dry piece of rock laying by the coast. Lisa gulped thickly as she lifted her head and inspected the calm waters.

However, the view she saw there got her eyes flying out of their sockets and her jaw touching the dirty ground. Her heart picked up its pace, this time definitely not from fear, as she watched Jennie sit in the middle of the basin, her body submerged under the water from below the waist, the rest swaying out in the open air. She had turned away from the lieutenant which gave Lisa a great view of her smooth and very much bare back she had explored so much before.

Jennie was completely naked in front of Lisa's eyes and she didn't even have an idea. The brunette continued scrubbing her skin innocently from any layered dirt and sweat from the past few days, finally happy to have the opportunity to clean herself up properly, not suspecting the eyes that raked shamelessly over her body. Lisa watched as she dipped under the water and came back up after a second, her hair now dripping wet and sticking to her bare back just like Lisa had always liked it.

Jennie was driving the lieutenant completely insane and didn't even know it. The black-haired woman watched as the brunette caught her hair between her hands before pulling it over her left shoulder and twisting the strands to remove any excessive water, slowly turning her body around at the same time, ready to walk back to the camp.

If it was physically possible, Lisa's eyes widened even more and her breath hitched in her throat as she caught sight of Jennie's bare breasts. It wasn't like she hadn't seen her in her whole naked beauty during their shared baths and hot nights before, but the view never seized to make the butterflies in her stomach and the dampness between her legs rise drastically every single time.

A loud scream escaped Jennie's lips once she noticed Lisa staring at her motionlessly. Her hands squeezed her hair in fright but she didn't make a move to cover her exposed body.
