"Oops! My bad... nothing to see here at all." I say to everyone currently staring at me. My face must be red with embarrassment by now. Nicholas is giving me a weird look, he probably wants to laugh and I don't blame him. That was fairly embarassing One by one, seven pairs of eyes turn back to whatever they were staring at a few minutes ago and I sigh in relief.
I have suddenly lost my appetite but give Nicholas a sheepish smile.
"Sorry about that." I tell him with a small smile on my face. He is probably embarrassed for me. Nicholas laughs and reminds me that we have at least 10 minutes left in our break.
How had 20 minutes gotten by so quickly?
I nod and start eating my burger again because I don't want to waste my food. Nicholas in the mean time is already finished with his meal. He calls over the waitress to get the bill to pay for everything. I grab the bill and insist on paying.
"You don't have to do that." I tell him and reach for the money in my purse. I've been living off of my savings but I won't allow Nicholas to pay for my food. We don't even know each other that much.
"I'm paying." Nicholas states with a grin. I finally give in and he pays for us both and we leave together.
"Thanks for the lunch. I owe you." I tell him as we try crossing the busy street.
Nicholas chuckles and helps me to cross the road. He opens the door to the coffee shop that we work in. "After you." He holds the door for me.
"Let's get this show on the road." I laugh and make my way over to the counter. Two of the four barista's who were working while we ate left the place when we finished eating we did our shiefs and went home we said our good bye's at my stop because Nicholas drove me home and I got out of the car and went inside and he drove off and I did the flirty thing it was great did I have a crush on home yes so cute right. I wanted to tell him but I don't know what to say to him and I don't want to ruin our friendship so I decided not to. It was such a long night I said before I went to bed.
