PROTECT
the rain was still pouring the next morning when y/n woke up. she looks around, not sure how she got back to her room because all she remembered from last night was taking a shower and talking to her brothers.
she got up and noticed that it was still dark out. she looks towards her clock and saw that it was 1am in the morning.
she groans and got up, not feeling sleepy anymore. she unlocks the door and walks out from her room. the long hallway was empty and dimly lit up by the hallway lights.
she was about to head downstairs when she heard the door next to her clicks open, she turns and saw Hiro poking his head out.
he looked tired and sleepy, "you scared me." she whispers and Hiro waved at her to come closer.
Hiro pulls her into his room and shut the door behind him. "why are you doing up? you fell asleep just now while we were talking." Hiro asked, he looked worried.
"I'm not sure, I just did. why? what's wrong?" she asked, noticing Hiro's worried look.
Hiro shook his head and pauses, the room was very silent and all they could hear was the rain pouring outside. y/n was about to speak up but Hiro held a finger up to his lips.
she stayed silent and then she heard it, the sound was very faint and muffled but they could hear it if they were being quiet enough.
"is that..?" y/n asked, turning to Hiro.
Hiro sadly nods, "Haru, yes." she tenses up and it got quiet again before they heard a faint crashing sound.
the two younger siblings ran out from Hiro's room and dash towards their older brother's room, the sound of arguing was getting louder and louder.
they could hear their father's voice now and their brother's heartbreaking voice as they argued.
the both of them pushes the door open and the two men inside pauses. Haru turns to them and eyes widen, he walks towards to them and pushes them, "go!" he says.
y/n could see that their father was drunk, his face were red and his eyes were red too. Haru tries to push them away but the two of them felt like their feet was glued to the ground.
"you're all disgraceful brats!" their father yelled, walking closer and pushes their older brother away.
he grabs y/n by the collar, making her yelp in surprised and shook in fear. "especially you!" he screamed at her.
