HEARTBREAK
when y/n came home to rindou's apartment, it was already dark out and she thought rindou wasn't home since the lights were still off.
she turns around and jumps when she notice rindou sitting on the couch, staring into a distance. "rin? why didn't you open the lights?" she asked, walking towards him.
she lets out a nervous laugh when he turns to glare at her. "what's wrong? did something happened?" y/n sits down beside him.
rindou stares at her in silence. it made her felt more guilty and her heart started beating really fast. "did you have fun with your brothers?" he asked.
y/n was still tense, "yes, we went shopping after lunch." she tries to sound as natural as possible.
"is it fun being a liar?" rindou suddenly asked and she felt her heart skipped a beat.
she raises her eyebrows and stood up. "what do you mean why that? why are you calling me a liar all of a sudden?" she asked.
"because maybe you are one." rindou pushes the documents ran gave him into her chest but it fell onto the floor, shattering everywhere.
y/n was confused, she bends down to grabs one of the paper and notice it was her informations. "you did a background check on me?" she looks up, narrowing her eyes.
"I didn't, It was ran and I'm glad he did." rindou says harshly, glaring at her.
"what do you mean by that? oh so now you don't trust me? all because of some stupid papers or did your brother hit you in the head too hard that you started getting illusions?" y/n walks up to him.
"don't talk about my brother like that." rindou frowns a little.
"and here I thought you trusted me but instead you trust the papers more." she lets out a chuckle, her eyes got teary as her heart started to ache.
"maybe you should've had lied." rindou asked, his heart was aching from her teary eyes as well.
"I'm not lying! the papers are wrong, my mother is fucking dead. get it into your mind, rindou haitani!" she raises her voice, throwing the papers back to him.
"you probably think you're so smart aren't you? I thought you were a normal girl who has a normal life, but don't you think having a brother working together with some assassin is a little troublesome?" rindou says.
hana froze, "what-" she chokes out.
"don't you know? your little brother is working with assassins? wait- don't tell me you're one of them?" rindou narrows his eyes, he was trying to catch her off guard and it worked.
