I was walking up the street with my friend (Emo) today. we were by a kind of on a busy street but not a highway.
so we were minding our own business when a car drove past us and the guy in the passenger seat FCKING LEANS OUT OF HIS WINDOW AND YELLS AT US WE COULDNT TELL WHAT HE SAID BUT BY THE LOOK ON HIS FACE YOU COULD TELL THAT HE WASNT LOOKING FOR A NICE CHAT
we ignored him and continued on our way wHEN ANOTHER CAR PASSES AND HONKS AT US AND THEN THE GUY IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WINKS AT US.
THEY WERE BOTH LATE 20s AND WE ARE ONLY 15 SO IT WAS REALLY SCARY AND WE DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT WE KEPT WALKING ANYWAY AND IT MADE ME REALLY MAD
the fact that they thought it was ok to yell at us to get our attention is disgusting. we don't look older than our age at all so it's obvious that we are under age.
and before anyone has the audacity to ask "well what were you wearing"
baggy t shirts and large running shorts.
nothing at all that would arouse 20+ year old men

this also reminded me of a time when I was 12 and I was in my sisters car and as we were driving a car starts driving next to us and it's full of teenage boys and they all roll down their windows and yell "SMILE FOR US BABY" and other shit and I gave them the meanest look I could make as a baby faced 12 year old, but my sister smiles at them (she does it as if annoyed)
and I was completely dumbfounded
I didn't know what happened and I asked her "why did you smile at them? that's just giving them what they want." and she sighed and said "that's just how it is"
do you know how heartbreaking it is to hear your big sister say that. I look up to her so much, and realizing that this is something that women have to deal with disgusted me

why the fuck would someone think it's ok to make someone totally uncomfortable just so you could get their attention

catcalling is disrespectful and rude and all it does is make the girls uncomfortable and mad ok. don't do it. it's gross. and it's really sad that people don't have the common sense to know that.
