The Rise Of The Egg And The Races

I woke up to someone thudding on my bed, I opened my eyes to see my younger brother Lucas jumping on it. 

"Lucas..." I groaned.

"What?" he replied in that innocent tone of his.

"It's too early in the morning, why did you wake me up"

"Hmm... let me think-"

"OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR YOU MUFFIN HEAD?!"

"Let Leo sleep, we still have 3 hours left, now c'mon." answered my other brother, who is Lucas's twin, Elon.

"Fineeeee, but I swear if you do that hand grab thingie again I'll snap your head"

"Try me." Elon replied, in his usual calm voice.

If you ask me, Elon acts like a grown mature man, unlike me and Lucas. You see, Elon and Lucas are like the sun and moon. Two opposites, Lucas is more of a fighter and has a very aggressive attitude, yet he is playful. Elon on the other hands, he is always calm and kind, he has a less aggressive attitude than Lucas.

Come to the think of it, I cant believe they are 13 years old now. Surprising  I know.

Speaking of time and age....

"AHHH! IM LATE! IM LATE FOR THE CHOOSING CEREMONY!!!!" I yelled, rushing out of bed.

My dad came in my room chuckling, "Don't worry, you're not late, you are perhaps early."

Elon just nodded in agreement with my dad, which of course isn't unusual since Elon is a spitting image of my dad when he was younger, so says our grandma. For me, she told me I look like one of the family's great ancestors , who was the last dragon rider to be seen in our city.

Like how would a nerd like me look like Andrius, the last and greatest dragon rider. 

"Then when is it?" I asked.

"It'll be at 4 p.m." Dad answered.

"Very well, I'll go hang out with Mathew, Serene and Katie." I said, while putting my phone in my pocket, "I'll see you guys at the ceremony?"

"Indeed" Elon said.

"Uhm, sorry to interrupt your man conversation but breakfast's ready and we are waiting for you guys" Lillian, my older sister stated.

"Oh, okay, we'll be at the table in just a minute" I said.

"Fine, but make it fast" Lillian shot me a serious look.

"Anyways, before your mother comes in and murder all of us at once" dad said and the four of us laughed, " what I'm trying to say is that I talked with one of the dragon riders from another city, he told me that the galaxy dragon egg has appeared nearby our town" he continued.

"Which means, it has chosen a rider from our town" Elon announced.

"Hold on, are we missing the point? A dragon rider will appear in our town, there's no doubt about it." I protested.

"Sooooo the 2000 years chain will be broken?" Lucas asked.

"That's what we are trying to figure out, for now, dad and I are going to continue our research, while Leo will try and talk to Uncle Maximus about it." Elon claimed.

"What about me?" Lucas questioned.

"You are to confirm that no one else knows about it, Lucas."

"Dad, I have an idea"

"What is it?"

"Maybe he can go to aunt Maria? She knows about the galaxy egg doesn't she?"

Dad gave me a nod and said, "Very well, with that being settled, Lucas will go to Maria while Leo you go to Maximus"
