Wei Wuxian knocked on the door. "Lan Wangji!" I can't believe I'm knocking on my own door...
Silence.
Bang! Bang! "Lan Wangji! Lan Zhan! Wake up!"
No answer.
"Ey? Is he dead?" He laughed and slid the doors open an inch to peep in. "Oi! I'm coming in!" He walked into the house. "Don't blame me if I find you buck naked... Lan Zhan?" He rushed to the bedside. "Lan Zhan... that tired?" He sighed as he watched the well clothed chest rising and falling, gentle breaths warming the ribbon grasped in his hands.
Ribbon! That's my ribbon!
Oh right, I forgot to take it outside last night... but... why is he...
As though he was hugging a teddy bear, Lan Wangji gripped Wei Wuxian's red ribbon in his hands close to his chest as he went on sleeping despite Wei Wuxian's shouting.
"Strange..." Wei Wuxian shook his head and slipped the ribbon out of his hands and tied it around his messy hair.
The instant the ribbon was taken out of his hands, Lan Zhan woke up.
"There you are. Now get up. I would have gone straight to Zewu-Jun to get you a set of robes but I came to check on the wound. Wakey-wakey!" He smacked Lan Zhan's shoulder. Lan Wangji sat up on the bed, cross-legged.
"Eh? Not paining at all?"
"No."
"Show me," Wei Wuxian sat beside him and shuffled closer to lift the edge of the red night robe to glance at the wound. "Ah, it's healed a lot. Fifty percent. I bet you can walk by now."
"Mn."
Wei Wuxian shuffled even closer and patted the wound, inspecting it with awe. "Really amazing healing, Lan Zhan," he looked up to smile at the other, only to find their heads really, really close. Almost too close. Noses barely touching.
Gulping hard, both scooted backwards onto either edge of the bed. Wei Wuxian got off quickly. "Er, I'll go get the robes from Zewu-Jun."
"No need, I'll go to my own room."
"And you think I can have you walking around my Lotus Pier wearing my night robes? What will they think?"
"Oh... But xiongzhang will find out..."
"Ah, I might earn myself a scolding or two, never mind," Wei Wuxian waved his hand. "Stay here, no wandering around," he chided and shut the door.
**********
"Wei Gongzi?"
"Good morning, Zewu-Jun," Wei Wuxian bowed.
"Good morning. What brings you here? So early too," Lan Xichen grinned.
"Oh, do you mind giving me a set of Lan Zhan's robes?"
"AH?"
"Oh, please don't get me wrong! Er... you see..."
"Something happened in the duel last night?"
"Erm..." Wei Wuxian sighed.
"Come inside."
Wei Wuxian took one step into the room, and within the privacy of the walls, he explained everything to Zewu-Jun.
"I see. My robes do fit him perfectly, so here," he dug around in his drawers and brought out a set of clean pure white robes. "But then... oh, I suppose he'll have to use your bath?"
