Optimus sat up quickly, his spark pounding in his spark chamber. The berthroom was quiet, dark, and that didn't help with the scenes from his nightmare still lingering in his processor. He very occasionally  had a dream like that-- if Deszetra was alive she wouldn't be on the Decepticon warship, in that dark room... with Megatron. He shuddered slightly. The idea of his worst enemy forcing bonding with his sparkmate-- it didn't seem to keen  to his processor. Forcing bonding, his thoughts rang, if she never even met Megatron, why would I be dreaming of him forcing bonding with her? Again? The dream had seemed so real to him. The dark room, the figure standing at the end of the berth, her scared optics...

But it was always one of his fears that Megatron would find her, if he did.. then the nightmare would seem all too true. Perhaps it was a reasonable dream, if that was one of his fears, that this would happen to her, that it appeared in his processor. It was just a dream. If Deszetra was alive.. If... she should be fine.

    But he was wrong.

"Hey Dezz, you okay?" Sky Rocket prodded her gently with an elbow. "You look tired. You didn't go to bed late, did ya?"

Deszetra shook her helm. "No, just couldn't fall back asleep when I woke up."

    "Nightmare?"

"Yeah..." The memory nearly brought tears to her optics. Sky Rocket tilted her helm.

     " 'Bout what?"

She couldn't force the words out right away, but after a second, she told the medic everything. The dark room, the figure, and how she woke up crying. Sky Rocket didn't seem keen on it.

"You've NEVER had a dream like that?" She asked.

"Well..." Dezzy thought for a moment. "When I was with Orion on Cybertron, I had nightmares like that, but then I had no idea who Megatron was, and he would appear to be a stranger forcing bonding with me. Orion never really said anything about who the mech might be... only told me that it was just a dream."

Sky Rocket seemed to get excited. "You realize what this means?!"

"That I'm mentally terrified of Megatron?"

"Okay okay, so yer with sparkling, right?"

The younger femme rolled her optics. "Yes."

"Which means you've bonded with Orion Pax, right?"

"Okay I've bonded with the mech. Get to the point!"

"Bondmates share a connection. They can feel the same feelings as the other, and they can share each other's dreams." Sky Rocket had her 'scientific' mode on as she explained quickly.

     "So?"

The medic groaned. "So that dream must have been his!"

Deszetra froze and stared at her. Was it a possibility? That all those dreams were his, fearing that reality? No. He's dead. This is foolish, and we must move on. "I'm not so sure Sky."

"Dezz.... he may be alive!" She pushed.

"No......"  A tear began to slip from her optic. "He can't."

Sky Rocket seemed to lose her thrust and sighed. "Very well."

"I...I've got to go get ready for departure." Deszetra said quietly, turning away from the medic. Sky Rocket remained silent as she left the room, wiping away the tear quickly as she strode down the halls. He's not alive......

Stutter greeted her as she neared the ship launch. "D-Dezz! Ready to go?"

"You know it. Where's Megatron?" She replied with a fake smile.

"N-N-N..." He seemed to choke on the word. "N-No."

Deszetra nodded. "Okay." Wouldn't he want to say goodbye? She added silently.

"Time to go."  A vehicon stated from behind Stutter. "Load up."

With one last look down the hall, Dezzy climbed through and into the ship, not noticing Sky Rocket watching.  The medic stood, blank, as the femme got onto the ship, and launched off into space.

"Th-This is gonna be great." Stutter remarked, leaning back. "I haven't d-done anything this im- important since I hurt my helm."

"Yeah." Was all Dezzy replied. It was all she can manage to say. Conversation was off her list. What Sky Rocket had said had just confused her, almost hurt her. She loved the medic, but  she didn't need others being superstitious and telling her her dead mech was alive.

What mattered now was getting back to the Autobots.
