Authors Note:
Alright so, this is my first fan fiction! I'm kind of new to writing so I'm going to apologize ahead of time for any grammar problems and what not that may be in there. So I've read a lot of fan fictions and in most of them the characters meet and fall in love with in the first few chapters and I don't think that is very realistic whatsoever, so if your waiting for that to happen really soon it's not gonna happen, sorry! The boys won't really appear in the story til about the third chapter but I promise they are in there! Anyways, here it is, I hope you like it! Please comment if you would like, I'd really appreciate the feedback! - Jordan <3

There it is again. The dreadful chime that forces me to face reality yet again. I ripped its thin chord from the wall not wanting to bear its annoying sound any longer. I rolled my tired body out of bed and headed for the shower to start my usual routine. I washed up quickly and wrapped the towel around my small frame then rummaged through my closet to find a decent outfit for the day. I settled with some black skinny jeans and a band t-shirt (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=69569115). I decided to let my long brown hair dry to its natural straightness rather than my usual messy bun, then applied some powder and mascara not wanting to look like a complete zombie due to my lack of sleep. Not having time for breakfast I ran downstairs, slipped on my shoes and jacket, grabbed my bag and keys, and was out the door.
I hated driving this damned car. It brought back so many painful memories that I always tried to avoid. My mother died in this car and being in it nearly kills me every time. Yet it is also one of the only things I have left of her. My mother's husband, Jack, took most of her belongings not caring if I was left with nothing, but my mother wrote in her will that I would get her car and life savings. This of course pissed Jack off considering he was wanting the money I'm sure. No one is sure of how my mother died. My mind has blacked out most of that day, the only thing I remember is my mom going out and waiting in the car for me to drive us to the mall. When I had finally found the keys and walked out to the car my mom was sat in the passenger seat... without a pulse. I have it set in my mind that Jack had something to do with it. After my mother's funeral I packed up my stuff and left. I didn't want to stick around for him to beat me til my death, he had always been quite abusive when he was drunk (and that was a lot). Now I live in London. I've always liked it here, It makes me feel safe to know that Jack is in Ireland and nowhere near me. I really liked Ireland and all my friends lived there but moving there from America was a horrible mistake.
I had been too lost in my thoughts to notice that I had arrived at the university in which my uncle Simon was generous enough to pay for. You may know him as the hard ass judge on the X Factor or the man responsible for many amazing artists in the media today but he was much more than that to me. We had a pretty close knit relationship considering he was the only one on my dad's side of the family that actually tolerated me. My dad is in a band and is always on the road so I've never really seen him that much. Simon and I have a lot in common though considering we are both music fanatics. He's actually the one who encouraged me to get my degree to become a sound technician, so that's why I'm here. Though I think that going to uni is a complete waste of my time. I never learn anything I didn't already know. I grew up around this stuff so I could do it with my hands tied behind my back and blindfolded.... okay that may be a slight exaggeration but you get my point. I only have a week left til I graduate so I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
I grabbed a coffee on my way to class in an attempt to wake myself up then ran up the stairs to make it the room on time. I burst through the door just as Mr. Copeland was calling my name on the roll.
"Elizabeth Cowell" he spoke in an amused tone as her turned to me. "Nice of you to join us. How do you always manage to get here at the last second?"
"I'm just that good?" I shrugged, thankful my teacher was one with a carefree attitude.
I took my seat in the back of the class not wanting to draw anymore attention to myself. I stuck my headphones in not caring to hear the review of our last lesson. Just as I was about to lay my head down for a nice nap my phone buzzed signaling i had a text.
From: Uncle Simon > Good Morning Elle. I hope you had a good nights rest. I'm in town for a little while and was hoping we could catch up this evening after school?
Even through text Simon always managed to seem so posh.
Me > Of Course! You can drop by my house at around 6 and I'll make us dinner! I'm glad your back in town, it's been a while :)
From: Uncle Simon > Sounds like a plan, See you soon!
I put my phone aside and went back to my nap anxious to see my uncle again.

Authors Note: Ok, so there it was! I hoped you enjoyed this first chapter :) I know that it was kind of boring but it had to be done in order for you to get to know Elle and a little bit of her past. I'll post a picture of Elle on the side later. Anyways please comment, I need the feedback! I have the next chapter written already but I'm not sure when I should post it..... I may post it later tonight if I get some reads on this one and some comments :/ But yeah..... Love Life, Live Free, and Have Fun! <3 Jordan
