Chapter 4: Galaxy Guitar

It was start of summer.

YN's second semester exams were done and she had a few weeks off until her last semester starts. She was working from home like everyone else.

To be honest her job kept her very entertained. She loved working with marketing team she was part of. She got to learn so many different things which will for sure come in handy for her in future. Though she was studying Business and Law, it was still interesting, she can get her master's in Marketing if she still liked to do the same thing. She figured she was way too creative than she thought she was. But it was good, it is only making her CV strong.

And about Harry!

She will admit- but to only herself- that she have gotten a liking on him. She would never in her existence confess to him that because she didn't wanted to come out as many of his fans. They were friends, and so were his fans with him, doesn't really matter that he doesn't know all of them personally. She can see the way he talks about how amazing his fans are and how much they have changed his life. She didn't wanted him to think about her or see her like that.

No one wants to be friendzoned by the person they like, right?

They still, religiously, hung out at her place. Even had meals together. Most of the time it was just Harry talking but YN was opening up too. Guess, she was ready to take the risk of being heartbroken again...?

She shared a few, just a few, maybe two out hundred different things, which were bothering her. Like he did. Though she wasn't very good at giving advices, Harry said it was just enough for him to get it out of his chest. And she didn't listened to him carefully, every time.

Though she'd rarely zone out watching how the tip of his nose moved as he talked. Or wondering what his skincare routine might be, as to how clear and soft his skin looked. How he'd smile his lopsided smile making just one out of two dimples dent his cheek. He'd occasionally shave off his stubble entirely to let it grow out for a couple of days. How his eyes looked different shade of green everytime she saw him. How he moved used his hands whilst talking about something with so much passion.

God she can go on and on about him!

He was teaching her guitar. Yes, he really was. He'd bring over his galaxy guitar to hers every other time they hung out. He reckoned she really liked his Galaxy guitar by the beam on her face.

She enjoyed the extended closeness to him, the way he draped his arm around her shoulders helping her hold the pick properly and strum the metal strings without hurting herself. His other hand on the neck of the guitar, his finger tips pressed against the frets on different notes to form a chord to play and show her how it is supposed to sound like. He radiated very comforting warmth. He always smelled so good. Like some very expensive perfume, she bets it is something Gucci.

Maybe because she was so... Deprived (would that be right word to use here?) since that car accident. She have no relatives in USA, there was really no one around her except strangers in form of doctors, nurses and few funeral home worker. She couldn't just go back to India leaving so much behind here, and by the time she was able to save up for her flight tickets everything was just shut down.

But anyway, she really liked Harry's company. He was very entertaining, especially with his weird knock knock jokes. They mostly hung out after her work shift or during her lunch break. Harry was working on his Album too, so he was busy as well.

But god, he starts missing her the moment he leaves her flat. He'd just yearn to finish up his zoom sessions with Mitch and Steve and go see his neighbour, and have her greet him with a bear hug. Something he started which now she does first as soon as she opens the door.
