"Merlin. You promised you'd help me train and control my magic better. Don't you break that promise..." I raised a finger and nagged.
"I know I did. I won't break that promise. We can train now I suppose. Better go before Arthur see us leave then." He gave a quick response.
"Ok. Come on!" I skipped out of the castle and deep into the woods with Merlin.
"Ok." He sat down on the forests soft beds of dirt. "What do you want to learn first? " He leaned against a tree.
"Uh.... Fire." I stood and hopped excitedly in place.
"Ok. First, calm down." He laughed at my energetic attitude.
"Then get off your lazy ass and help me." I gave him a playful grin.
"Alright, alright." He stood up and brushed himself off . "What you need to do is concentrate." He held up a hand.
I nodded and copied, holding my hand up, having complete focus on him and my hand.
"Next, say the spell." He said the spell and a flame appeared in the center of his hand.
I repeated after him and smiles big, waiting for a flame.
"Did I do something wrong...?" I watched my flameless hand.
"Try again." He sat back down and watched.
I gave him a quick nod and said the spell again, waiting for a flame.
"God dammit! Why won't it work!" I grew frustrated.
"(y/n). Quiet. We can't have anyone know we're here..." He stood again and took my hand, holding it outwards. "Now concentrate and repeat after me.
He slowly said the spell a few times and I repeated. I repeated one last quick time, full concentration and a fire lit.
I jumped and cheered at my succession and the fire went out.
"I did it!" I jumped on him for a hug and he swung me around, hugging back and set me down.
"Excellent." He smiled big.
We had our arms wrapped around each other still and we both immediately awkwardly let go.
"Alright... Uh... Next..." He rubbed the back of his neck.

We were heading back inside the kingdom. It was late, dark and quiet.
"You did really good with your magic today." Merlin broke the silence.
"Than k you." I smiled. "Really. Thank you for helping me.." I kissed his cheek.
He smiled and nodded. "No problem."
We walked to my small home just around the corner from the castle.
"I'll see you in the morning." Merlin side smiled.
I nodded. "Goodnight Merlin." I hugged him.
He hugged back. "Goodnight..."
We slowly pulled away from the hug but left our arms around each other.
I really wanted to kiss him... He could probably use a kiss. Unless he doesn't want me to kiss him. Dammit... Life is so-
My thoughts were completely cut off when he kissed me.
I widened my eyes then slowly closed them, kissing back and wrapping my arms tighter around him.
We pulled away for air and looked at each other.
"Goodnight..." We bother said and I went into my house, watching him walk off and fist pump the air in success.
I giggled and laid down, smiling...
